Gaboña, Kheir Venn Codeniera and Adolben Malabago Jr. — alongside the 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬) — Sether Josh B. Marfa and Roweline T. Pyponco. They showcased exceptional dedication, skills, and spirit during the summit —embodying the true essence of leadership.

Meet 𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨 𝐌. 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬, a 19-year-old 𝗕𝗦 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 from 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗣𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗰, 𝗟𝗮𝗽𝘂-𝗟𝗮𝗽𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, currently studying at 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀.

Guided by the motto 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘂𝘃𝗮𝘁 (fortune favors the bold), Gian believes that growth only happens when we dare to face challenges head-on.

His journey in mathematics started early, what began as a struggle with basic subtraction eventually turned into a passion that led him to multiple 𝗠𝗧𝗔𝗣 competitions, victories in oral rounds, and participation in prestigious contests such as the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗱. Over the years, his consistent excellence earned him recognition as one of Lapu-Lapu City’s standout math competitors.

Now at CTU, Gian has represented the university in various competitions, including the 28𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇, 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐝, 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 51𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥-𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭. Despite setbacks, he continues to rise, proving that resilience is just as important as talent.

Beyond academics, Gian balances leadership and passion. He serves as Secretary of the 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆, an officer in 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, and an active member of several organizations, while still maintaining an impressive academic standing.
