🇵🇭 Today marks the 69th commemoration of Magsaysay Day, honoring the life and legacy of Ramon Magsaysay, the 7th President of the Philippines—a leader remembered for his humility, courage, and dedication to the Filipino people.
On March 17, 1957, the nation mourned a great loss when the Douglas C-47 Skytrain aircraft named “Mt. Pinatubo” tragically crashed on the slopes of Mount Manunggal in Balamban, Cebu, claiming the life of President Ramon Magsaysay and 24 others. His passing was a moment that deeply shook the nation, yet his legacy of service, integrity, and love for country continues to inspire Filipinos today.

🌿 A reminder to all explorers:
As we visit places rich in history and natural beauty, we carry the responsibility to protect them. By practicing Leave No Trace ethics—something as simple as bringing your trash in and out—we help preserve these places for future generations.
Let us honor history not only by remembering it, but by respecting the land where it happened. ♻️
