Update on Namnama, our rescue cat from Baguio.

Namnama endured several days of unimaginable suffering before she was finally rescued.

She was hit by a vehicle, leaving her with a fractured jaw and a severely damaged eye. The trauma was so severe that it caused premature labor, and sadly, she lost all her kittens.

When we learned about her condition, we immediately made the journey from Amadeo, Cavite to Baguio.

It was already nighttime when we arrived, but we didn’t hesitate. We knew Nam needed urgent medical attention, so we brought her straight to Manila, where we knew she could receive the critical care she needed at Makati Animal Health Clinic

Nam underwent two major surgeries on the same day. Her recovery has not been easy. She remains under close monitoring, and she is just one of the many critical rescues currently depending on us, making each day even more challenging.

Caring for rescues like Nam requires endless patience, dedication, and compassion. There are sleepless nights and moments when we feared she might not make it.

There are times when all we could do was sit beside her through the night, watching closely to make sure her IV line stayed open and that she was safe.

But after weeks of treatment and proper care, Namnama slowly began to fight her way back. She learned to eat and drink on her own again. She started grooming herself and even began interacting with the other rescues.

Compared to when she first arrived, she is now a completely different cat. She no longer looks like she is constantly suffering from the pain of her fractured mouth and jaw.

Nam has already completed her medications, and thankfully, there is now a possibility that she may no longer need another surgery for her damaged eye (enucleation).

Seeing Namnama alive and improving today already fills our hearts with so much gratitude. Every small progress a rescue makes feels like a miracle to us.

We know her journey is not over yet, but we continue to hold on to hope and do everything we can to help her heal completely.

Our life is filled with challenges, and every day comes with struggles as we care for hundreds of animals. But because of your support, we are grateful to continue helping rescues like Nam.

We want to share the reality of our everyday life — the hard work behind every rescue, the effort it takes to keep going, the quiet victories, the silent cries, the sleepless nights, and the truth behind every life we fight so hard to care for.

Please continue to keep Nam in your prayers🙏🏻

And if you have the capacity to help, any form of support for our rescue would mean so much to us.

Salamat po.

OUR AUGUST SALARY HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED 😔

We are struggling to keep everything going.

Despite everything we are facing, patuloy pa rin po kaming bumabangon at nagtatrabaho. We are praying that help will come before the month ends. 🙏🏻

WHAT WE URGENTLY NEED TO SETTLE THIS AUGUST:

• Rent-to-Own Space in Farm (July & August) — ₱100,000
• Permanent Shelter Rent (August) — ₱30,000
• Electricity (June, July & August) — ₱45,800.06
• Roof-Raising Project — ₱31,450

TOTAL: ₱207,250.06 🙏🏻

SUPPLIES WE CRITICALLY NEED TO RESTOCK / PAY:

• Cleaning materials — about ₱15,000 / week
• Wet food — ₱102,000 / 1 moth
• Waste disposal — ₱10,000 / week
• Chicken for dogs — ₱28,000 / month

Patuloy kaming nagsisikap kahit napakarami naming kailangang harapin ngayon. We are doing everything we can to keep the shelter running and make sure that the animals continue to receive the care they need.

Marami pong salamat. 🙏🏻🐾

The cats seemed so curious — checking every corner, running around with their zoomies, exploring their brighter surroundings.

The dogs were happily barking, and even our helpers were smiling because their work became easier.

Cleaning and caring for hundreds of animals at night is not easy, especially when we only use a few lights to help lessen our electricity expenses. Imagine trying to clean, check on animals, and provide care with limited visibility.

Now, because of this amazing blessing, we can enjoy safer and brighter nights at the shelter and farm.

We’ll be sharing more about this wonderful news soon. Please make sure you follow our page and add us to your Favorites so you won’t miss this special update 🌟

Kakawalis lang… tinaehan agad. 😂🐾

This is just a small glimpse of what cleaning a home with hundreds of rescues is really like. You can sweep, mop, disinfect, and clean an area, only to find a fresh “surprise” a few minutes later. 😅

Keeping our home clean is very important to us, not only for the well-being of our rescues, but for ours as well. We live with them, share the same spaces, and care for them around the clock, so maintaining a clean and safe environment is something we have to constantly work on.

With hundreds of rescues, cleaning is never a task that simply gets “finished.” It’s a continuous, round-the-clock cycle of sweeping, washing, disinfecting, cleaning after accidents, and doing it all over again. 🥹

It may look like a simple chore, but behind every clean corner is a lot of time, effort, and love from our family. And yes… minsan kakawalis mo pa lang, may tatae na agad. 😂

But we wouldn’t have it any other way. These little mess-makers deserve a clean, safe, and comfortable home. 🤍🐾

Help us secure the permanent house of these two mama goats and their kids 🙏🏻

The first two photos show the current area where our mama goats are staying. It was badly affected when the last typhoon hit, which made us even more determined to give them a safer, stronger, and more secure place to call home.

We really want to make sure that they and their babies are protected, especially during heavy rains and typhoons. This is why we’re doing our best to build them a permanent shelter where they can stay safely and comfortably.

We’ve also been able to purchase the materials needed for the next stages of construction for the main female area. Yesterday, we were given another list of materials needed for the two separate goat houses, including materials for our ongoing roof-raising project amounting to ₱15,385.

We’re praying that, once again, we can raise this amount and continue the work without delays. 🥹🙏🏻

We know we’ve been asking for help almost every day, but it’s only because our workers carefully make sure that we purchase just enough materials for each stage of the project- nothing excessive, only what is needed to keep building.

Thank you so much for continuing to stand with us and help us give our mama goats and their babies a safe, comfortable, and permanent home. 🐐

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to completing their shelter. Thank you po!

UPDATE ON MICMIC

Maybe the medicines are starting to take effect on his body. We noticed discharge coming from his nose and eyes.

Our helpers have been monitoring him 24/7 — gently cleaning his face, making sure his beddings stay warm, and giving him fluids to support him.

But MicMic is still extremely weak. You can see it in his pale gums, paws, and ears. It looks like his body is struggling, as if there is barely enough blood circulating.

It is heartbreaking to see an animal suffer like this, especially knowing they cannot tell us what they are feeling or how much pain they are in.

What hurts even more is knowing that this is the reality for so many stray animals.

They suffer quietly, waiting for someone to notice, until their bodies can no longer fight anymore. If someone had seen MicMic’s suffering earlier, maybe he would not have reached this critical condition.

Please continue to pray for MicMic. 🙏🏻

We have over 350 animals depending on us every day. We are hoping this post reaches more kind hearts who can help us provide their food, basic needs, and medical care.

Thank you so much for your prayers, support, and kindness. Salamat po❤️

MayMay, a rescued Cat with a hearing impairment, often keeps to herself. Her attempts to play with other Cats usually end in scuffles. Then there’s Crisostomo, a rescued Turtle who wasn’t exactly fond of other animals. He would chase Cats and Dogs whenever he was out of his habitat.

But somehow, these two found each other.

Crisostomo now lets MayMay share his space, while MayMay quietly stays beside him, calm and gentle. No words, no games, just quiet companionship.

Their unlikely bond is a reminder that animals have personalities, feelings, and preferences, too and that sometimes companionship comes from the most unexpected places.

Thank you so much, Sir Dae Aquino and friends, for taking the time to visit our shelter and for bringing much-needed donations for our rescues last August 1. 💚

We truly appreciate that you chose to spend part of your day with us and took the time to meet the animals we care for. We hope you enjoyed your visit as much as we did!
