Their dedicated hearts and minds to keeping the school clean and organized promotes discipline, environmental awareness, and shared responsibility. Through their efforts, they inspire others to contribute to a greener and healthier future.

In line with the celebration of 𝓝𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 𝓜𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓱, 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓜𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓹𝓪𝓵 𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓡𝓲𝓼𝓴 𝓡𝓮𝓭𝓾𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 , the Management Office (MDRRMO) of Alfonso has invited selected students across Alfonso, Cavite including our school, Alfonso Integrated High School to participate in the 𝑨𝒍𝒇𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒐 𝑴𝑫𝑹𝑹𝑴𝑶 𝑰𝒏-𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒉𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒕. Among the selected students are the President and Vice President of YES-O— Aljur and Cyril. 🤙🏻

The said activity is designed to enhance students' understanding of disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness, climate change adaptation, and the operations of the Municipality's Disaster Operations Center. ❤️💚

𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗔 𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜-𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗔! 👨🏻‍🔬🌊

Meet National Scientist, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡 𝘾. 𝘼𝙡𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙖, is a renowned Filipino marine biologist, herpetologist, research advocate, civil servant, and he was born on March 1, 1929, in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, and passed away on February 1, 2023, at the age of 93.

Who is he? And why is he considered a pioneer in marine conservation? 🧐

In 1992, former President Fidel V. Ramos appointed him as Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources where he initiated DENR’s program on marine conservation. He was also designated as the first Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) from 1995 to 1999, where he served with probity, integrity, and transparency.

Dr. Alcala pioneered the establishment of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the Philippines, helping protect coral reefs, conserve marine biodiversity, and promote sustainable fishing. His contributions continue to inspire marine conservation efforts in the country and beyond. 🌊💙

The 𝑨𝒍𝒇𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒐 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 (AIHS) 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝑶𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (YES-O) and 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 (Scientia) 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃 takes initiative yesterday on their first collaboration project this Academic Year and very own project— Science Garden! 💚🧡

The S.I.B.O.L. (𝓢𝓾𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓫𝓵𝓮 𝓘𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓮 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓑𝓲𝓸𝓭𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓽𝔂, 𝓞𝓫𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷, 𝓐𝓷𝓭 𝓛𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰) Garden is a school-based, student-led macro-agricultural project located in the vacant space in front of the DPWH building. This project bridges theoretical classroom sciences with hands-on environmental stewardship.

This project aims to establish a functional, biodiversity-rich School Science Garden that serves as a living laboratory for students, fostering an eco-conscious campus culture while fulfilling authentic DepEd learning competencies. 🤙🏻

Papaya is a fruit from Central America and is now commonly found at subtropical places. The scientific name for this fruit is 𝒞𝒶𝓇𝒾𝒸𝒶 𝓅𝒶𝓅𝒶𝓎𝒶 and the family it belongs to is Caricaceae family. 🧡

It is an ingredient even if its unripe and it's a fruit when it's ripe. 🌱

𝗞𝗔𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡— 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗕𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗬, 𝗜𝗪𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗪𝗔𝗬! 🇵🇭

Mayana (𝓒𝓸𝓵𝓮𝓾𝓼 𝓫𝓵𝓾𝓶𝓮𝓲), also known as "Painted Nettle," is a vibrant ornamental plant that equally shines in traditional Filipino home care. Though its medicinal claims are largely anecdotal and not yet officially validated by the DOH, its use for various ailments has been passed down through generations. 🍃

Known for its striking multicolored leaves, Mayana is a versatile herb in folk medicine. Its leaves are commonly crushed and applied as a poultice to reduce swelling and pain from sprains, bruises, and minor burns, tapping into its anti-inflammatory properties. A decoction (boiled leaves) is also traditionally consumed to help ease headaches, fever, and stomach aches. It's also used topically for insect bites and minor skin irritations. 🌱

A fruit from Philippines and India? That's Duhat! 🌱

Duhat or java plum is a fruit from the Southeast asia and is commonly found in The Philippines.

The scientific name of Duhat is 𝓢𝔂𝔃𝔂𝓰𝓲𝓾𝓶 𝓬𝓾𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓲 and the family Duhat came from is the Myrtaceae together with other type of plum fruits. 💜💚

𝗞𝗔𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡— 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗕𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗬, 𝗜𝗪𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗪𝗔𝗬! 🇵🇭

𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘢-𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘢 (𝓚𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓮 𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓪), also called Miracle Leaf or Life Plant, is a unique succulent herb easily found in backyards, gardens, and open lots across the Philippines. Its name comes from its amazing trait: tiny baby plants grow right along the edges of its leaves even while still attached! While not yet officially in the main Department of Health (DOH) herbal list, it has long been trusted in traditional Filipino home remedies. 🍃

Its thick, fleshy leaves are the most commonly used part. Warmed or crushed leaves are applied as poultice to reduce swelling from sprains, bruises, burns, boils, insect bites, and itchy skin rashes. Leaf juice or mild infusion is also used to help lower fever, soothe sore throats, and ease mild stomach aches and diarrhea. It is known for its gentle cooling, anti‑inflammatory, and wound‑healing effects for everyday concerns. 🌱

It is also known as the OG coolfever of the Batang 90's because of it's fast fever remedy! Amazing, right? 🤩
