This song connects well with our fight for the normalization of diverse family structures, particularly LGBTQ families. The social stigma is that a family must have both a man and a woman as parents in order to be regarded as a family, but what if that's not what you wanted? People cannot be characterized as Ken and Barbie since the world is so diverse. You are free to be truly in love to the person you love, so let's depart from custom and live our lives as we have always wanted to.
