Just to clarify, Tau Gamma Phi was founded in 1968 by the founding fathers at the University of the Philippines Diliman. That is the origin of the fraternity.

Tau Gamma Phi Global is not a new fraternity and not a separate organization. It is the Global Constitution , a constitutional framework intended to guide the fraternity on a global scale and promote standards that reject violent and outdated practices.

So it is not correct to say that Tau Gamma Phi Global is “new.” The fraternity itself dates back to 1968. What Global represents is the constitutional direction for the brotherhood moving forward.

And to be clear, we are not here to destroy or smear NEC. In fact, it is the other way around. What we are doing is defending the name of the fraternity when it is being dragged into controversies and incidents that stain its reputation.

That is why we are speaking up and granting interviews , to bring clarity and to defend the name of the brotherhood when it is being tarnished. This is also consistent with the principles stated in our Tenets and Code of Conduct: when the name of the fraternity is being dishonored, it is our responsibility to stand up and help restore its dignity.

Being a true Triskelion is not measured by the number of supporters or members, but by the quality of character, principles, and commitment upheld within the fraternity. It is therefore inaccurate to conclude that Tau Gamma Phi Global is weak simply because its supporters may appear fewer in number. In reality, the fraternity has chosen to become more selective and disciplined in accepting and developing potential Triskelions in order to preserve the original ideals of the Founding Fathers and the core principles of Tau Gamma Phi.

The objective is not uncontrolled expansion at the expense of integrity. Experience has shown that rapid growth without proper formation can produce members who lack understanding of the Tenets and Code of Conduct, fail to respect fellow Triskelions, and are unable to embody excellence in their personal and professional lives. These are precisely the issues now being addressed and corrected.

Tau Gamma Phi Global prioritizes quality over quantity. The fraternity seeks to build a stronger and more solid foundation by shaping individuals who possess discipline, accountability, intelligence, leadership, and genuine respect for the brotherhood. Membership is treated not merely as a privilege of belonging, but as a responsibility to uphold the values, principles, and reputation of the fraternity.

A large membership is meaningless if the core remains weak. What truly matters is having members who are united in purpose, firm in principle, intellectually grounded, and capable of standing with courage and dignity in any situation. A true Triskelion is one who understands the meaning of brotherhood, lives by its principles, and represents it with honor.

This is not about numbers. It is about rebuilding a stronger, wiser, and more principled generation of Triskelions fewer perhaps, but more solid, more capable, and more faithful to the ideals of the fraternity.

Real talk, nagbago na talaga ang direction ng Initiation Rites. Noon, ang sukatan ng pagtanggap nasa pisikal na hirap, pagtitiis, tapang, at kung gaano mo kayang tiisin ang proseso. Pero let’s be honest, matagal na itong nasa banggaan hindi lang sa loob ng kapatiran kundi pati sa batas at public accountability.

Sa panahon ngayon, hindi na pwedeng i-base ang pagiging Triskelion sa pananakit ng katawan. Under existing laws and anti-hazing standards, malinaw na ang legitimacy ng anumang initiation nakasalalay na sa compliance, discipline, at structured formation at hindi sa paluan at sakitan.

Dito pumapasok ang TDAP. Hindi ito “pinalambot” na proseso. In fact, ibang level ang challenge. Hindi katawan ang sinusubok, kundi utak, prinsipyo, at pag-intindi sa Tenets and Code of Conduct ng Tau Gamma Phi. Mas mahirap pumasa kung wala kang alam, dahil hindi mo madadaan sa tapang lang o yabang.

Kung tutuusin, mas mataas ang standard ngayon. Hindi sapat ang kwento ng “napagdaanan ko yan.” Ang tanong na ngayon kung naiintindihan mo ba ang Tenets? Kaya mo bang ipaliwanag ang Code of Conduct? Kaya mo bang ipagtanggol ang kapatiran sa legal at moral na paraan?

Kaya kapag may nagmamataas sa tradisyon pero wala namang maipakitang kaalaman sa aral, doon lumalabas ang mismatch. Hindi issue kung sino ang mas hirap ang pinagdaanan. Ang issue kung sino ang may tunay na naunawaan.

Sa huli, ang pagiging Triskelion hindi dapat umiikot sa alaala ng lumang tradisyon, kundi sa kalidad ng mga Triskelion na hinuhubog nito sa kasalukuyan.
