"Be the difference. Learn first aid and Basic life support, and be prepared to save a life"

As the University of Perpetual Help System Isabela Red Cross Youth participants completed their intensive First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) program on February 4-5, 2025, we were able to learn about their unwavering commitment and hard work. They obtained the skills and knowledge they needed from this tough training to handle various kinds of medical emergencies, from small wounds to life-threatening circumstances.

They Learned essential life-saving techniques, enhanced their problem-solving abilities, and developed valuable teamwork skills. These are skills that extend far beyond emergency response, benefiting them throughout their lives.

Congratulations to the newly certified first aider! We're incredibly proud of their hard work and the positive impact they'll have on our community.

On August 25, 2024, a blood donation activity was held at the Isabela State University - Cauayan Campus for the Nationwide Bloodletting Activity in connection with National Reservist Week and National Heroes Day under the 202nd community intense center, hosted by the Rotary Club Cauayan and in collaboration with the Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, with the theme: "DUGO KO, BUHAY MO, ALAY NG TAGAPAGBUO NG HUKBONG MAMAMAYAN PARA SA BAGONG PILIPINAS"

𝗥𝗖𝗬 𝗨𝗣𝗛𝗦𝗟-𝗜𝗖 𝗜𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬!

On January 29-30, Red Cross Youth UPHSL-IC organized a 2-day special training program on first aid called "First Aid Training in the Modern World". A total of 80 attendees, including officers and members of the Red Cross Youth UPHSL-IC, participated in the event.

The training program covered a range of topics, including how to handle bleeding, burns, sprains, and fractures. Participants were taught how to properly execute CPR both in adults and infants. The program also emphasized the importance of quick response time and communication during emergencies.

The Red Cross Isabela Chapter facilitated a training session with Sir Florencio M. Cadeliña as the primary lecturer and demonstrator. Ma'am Giselle Joy E. Guzman, Ma'am Felisa T. Buquel, and Sir Edmund M. Agamata assisted during the training, and Sir Glenn Nicolas served as the transportation driver.

The Red Cross Youth - UPHSL IC hopes that through this training program, officers and members will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to assist in any emergency that may arise during the university week activities. The organization believes that by having a group of individuals who are trained in first aid, they can help ensure the safety and well-being of their fellow students and staff.

Overall, the 2-day training program was a success, providing valuable information and hands-on experience to all who attended.
