In celebration of Godโ€™s gift of life, a Thanksgiving Mass for April Birthday Celebrants will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 9:00 AM at DARAB Hall, DAR Provincial Office, Catarman, Northern Samar.

All employees are encouraged to attend and join our April celebrants in offering prayers of gratitude for another year of blessings, good health, and dedicated public service.

On March 26, 2026, a heartfelt tribute was given to Engr. Elizabeth Antonette G. Batausa, Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) of San Isidro, as she retires this month of April. The Top Management and her colleagues gathered to celebrate her 37 years of unwavering dedication, exceptional expertise, and unrelenting passion for agrarian reform, leaving an enduring legacy of progress and development.

Farewell messages poured in from top management and closest colleagues, including OIC-PARPO I Eugenia W. Almasco, CARPO-PBDD Emerita M. Anabe, Chief Legal Atty. Edsel A. Ballicud, MARPO Jean C. Carlon, and Ms. Judith A. Manlalangit, expressing gratitude for her exemplary service and wishing MARPO Antonette a fulfilling retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and cherished moments.

DAREA Officers also prepared a special tribute to Mr. Benigno Lebrino, a retired Senior Agrarian Reform Program Technologist (SARPT) of DARMO Laoang, who couldn't attend due to personal matters. The DAREA family extends sincerest appreciation for his 36 years of dedicated service, wishing him good luck and a retirement that's a true harvest of happiness and fulfillment.

The DAREA Northern Samar held its annual General Assembly on March 26, 2026, at Casa Leโ€™Anne, Brgy. Macagtas, Catarman, Northern Samar. During the event, Mr. Vincent R. Arteche, DAREA President, presented the 2025 accomplishment report, highlighting key achievements and milestones that marked the association's progress. He also shared future plans and activities, outlining the organization's direction and initiatives to drive development and growth.

The event also featured Ms. Nikki Mae A. Longcop, DAREA Treasurer, who presented the 2025 Financial Report, providing a clear picture of the organization's financial standing. An open forum followed, allowing attendees to engage, ask questions, and provide feedback, fostering transparency and encouraging collective participation in shaping DAREA's future endeavors.

Pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 094-2026, Series of 2026, the Department of Agrarian Reform Employees Association (DAREA) Officers of DAR Northern Samar held their monthly meeting with Engr. Jose M. Balberde, PARPO II, on March 23, 2026, at the DAR Provincial Office. The meeting focused on discussing future plans and activities concerning the employees, as well as reviewing previous initiatives.

PARPO II Balberde provided updates on key issues, including the implementation of agrarian reform programs and projects, and offered guidance on strategies to improve implementation and address challenges. The DAR Employees Association - Northern Samar Chapter, led by President Vincent R. Arteche, extended a warm surprise celebration to PARPO II Engr. Jose M. Balberde, as he celebrated his 63rd birthday, marking a significant milestone in his life. As we celebrate National Womenโ€™s Month 2026, the Department of Agrarian Reform Employees Association (DAREA) โ€“ Northern Samar Chapter proudly stands with the entire nation in honoring women under this yearโ€™s inspiring sub-theme: โ€œLead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!โ€

This celebration reminds us that womenโ€™s leadership is not new โ€“ it is deeply rooted in our Filipino heritage. Long before modern institutions were formed, the Babaylans of pre-colonial Philippines embodied strength shaped by wisdom, compassion, courage, and moral authority.
