ɪᴋᴀ-40 ᴀɴɪʙᴇʀꜱᴀʀʏᴏ ɴɢ ᴇᴅꜱᴀ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ ʀᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ 🇵🇭

Ngayon ay ginugunita natin ang ika-40 anibersaryo ng makasaysayang EDSA People Power Revolution—isang makapangyarihang paalala na ang pagkakaisa, tapang, at pananampalataya ay kayang humubog ng kapalaran ng isang bayan. Noong Pebrero 25, 1986, milyon-milyong Pilipino ang nagtipon sa Epifanio de los Santos Avenue upang mapayapang manindigan, wakasan ang diktadura, at maibalik ang demokrasya at kalayaan.

Ang EDSA ay hindi lamang bahagi ng ating kasaysayan; ito ay simbolo ng pag-asa, pagkakaisa, at lakas ng sambayanang Pilipino. Ipinapaalala nito na ang tunay na kapangyarihan ay wala sa iilan, kundi nasa nagkakaisang tinig ng taumbayan.

Apatnapung taon ang lumipas, patuloy tayong hinahamon ng diwa ng EDSA. Hanggang ngayon ay may mga suliranin pa rin sa pamamahala—korapsyon, kakulangan sa transparency, paglaganap ng maling impormasyon, pagkakahati-hati sa pulitika, hindi pagkakapantay-pantay sa ekonomiya, at usapin ng pananagutan ng mga lingkod-bayan. Ipinapaalala ng mga ito na ang demokrasya ay hindi minsanang tagumpay, kundi patuloy na pananagutan. Ang kalayaan ay dapat pangalagaan. Ang katotohanan ay dapat ipagtanggol. Ang mga pinuno ay dapat managot sa taumbayan.

Sa pag-alala sa sakripisyo ng mga nagbuwis ng tapang para sa katotohanan at katarungan, nawa’y patuloy nating isabuhay ang mga pagpapahalaga ng demokrasya, integridad, at aktibong pakikilahok bilang mamamayan. Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang anibersaryong ito upang manatili tayong mapagmatyag, mulat, at nagkakaisa para sa ikabubuti ng ating bansa.

Huwag nating kalimutan: ang tunay na kapangyarihan ng bayan ay nasa kamay pa rin ng mamamayan.
