Savage Mind: Arts, Books, Cinema, together with the Goethe-Institut Philippinen and writers Jaya Jacobo and Kristian Cordero, is set to host a traveling writing workshop from May 10 to 17, 2026, moving through the provinces of Albay, Sorsogon, and Camarines Sur.

Called โ€œWritings-in-Progressโ€ (WIP), the workshop is built on a simple but demanding premise: that the act of writing is inseparable from the act of being somewhere. Rather than gathering participants in a single room, WIP puts them in motion, asking them to write, translate, and think in direct encounter with the landscapes, histories, and communities of the Bikol region.

Ang Pambansang Lupon sa Pagpapaunlad ng Aklat o National Book Development Board (NBDB) ay nakiki-๐‘๐‘’๐‘˜๐‘’ฬˆ๐‘ก (nakikiisa) sa pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng Panitikan ngayong Abril.

Isang pagpupugay sa mga Pambansang Alagad ng Panitikan at sa lahat ng mga manunulat at mambabasang Pilipino, na nagbubuklod sa ating pagkakakilanlan sa pamamagitan ng mga salita, kuwento, libro, at mga pamana ng lahi.

Know a children's or young adult book that deserves to be recognized? Now's your chance to say so.

The 9th National Children's Book Awards (NCBA), presented by The Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY), is now open for nominations. Fiction, nonfiction, picture books, graphic novels, and comic books published in the Philippines by an NBDB-registered publisher and written for young readers are all eligible. So if a title has stayed with you, or with the child you gave it to, put it forward!
