In light of the recent volcanic activity at Mt. Kanlaon, and prioritizing the safety of all participants, staff, and the community, the Canlaon Half Marathon 2024 has been rescheduled until further notice.

As per 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟏 issued by the Canlaon City Government, all events, gatherings, and social activities are temporarily suspended due to the Alert Level 3 status declared by PHIVOLCS.

We are deeply concerned about the recent eruption of Kanlaon Volcano. Your safety is our top priority, and we urge everyone, especially our alumni and their families near the area, to remain vigilant.

🛑 What You Can Do:
1️⃣ Follow updates and advisories from official sources like Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST), SALTA Canlaon Official, and your local authorities.
2️⃣ Prepare emergency kits and stay ready for additional evacuation measures.
3️⃣ Stay indoors if you are in surrounding areas to avoid ashfall exposure. Use N95 masks or damp cloths to cover your nose and mouth.
