The Supreme Student Government proudly congratulates our very own officers who represented BISU and showcased their incredible talents during AsugBohol 2026 at the Performing Arts Hall of UP Cebu.

Team BISU earned 4th Runner-up in the Pandalahawang Pag-arte category, with 𝙎𝙎𝙂 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙣 𝘾𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙨 among the performers, impressing the audience with dynamic acting and stage presence that brought pride to our campus.

BISU also claimed 3rd Runner-up in the Short and Sweet Play (Musical), featuring 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙤 𝘼𝙮𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤 – 𝘽𝙎𝙀𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙧 – 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙒𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 as performers, whose creativity and dedication brought the story to life on stage.

🤝Leading with Heart, Serving with Purpose🤝

With the goal of empowering young leaders, the SSG of BISU Candijay successfully conducted a Leadership Training Outreach Program for Concepcion National High School and San Roque National High School under the theme “Shaping School, Shaping Society: Empowering Young Leaders in Good Governance.” We are truly thankful for the warm collaboration and partnership of both schools in making this meaningful initiative possible.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our resource speakers Mr. Robel Maghinay, Mr. Jonel Ligas, Ms. Richiel Galvadores, and Mr. Leonel Vallota for generously sharing their time, wisdom, and experiences. Their discussions on becoming effective leaders and positive role models — whether in school, on social media, or in society, left a lasting impact on the student leaders. They reminded everyone that true leadership begins with character, responsibility, and the heart to serve.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our SSG Adviser, Mrs. Elenita Deguit, whose constant guidance and encouragement inspire us to continue creating programs that uplift and empower fellow students.

Through this outreach, we are reminded that true leadership is not just about holding a position — it’s about leading with heart, inspiring others, and making a positive impact wherever you go. 🌱🫡

February 25, 2026 marks 40 years since the EDSA People Power Revolution — a four-day peaceful uprising along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue that restored democracy in 1986.

Led by millions of brave Filipinos, it ended the 20-year rule of Ferdinand Marcos and ushered in the presidency of Corazon Aquino — the country’s first female president.

40 years later, may we remember: People power is strongest when the people stand united. 🇵🇭
