The most awaited event has finally arrived, filled with new faces, loud cheers, and memories waiting to happen as the PFC family officially kicks off this year's FINAL WAVE x MEET & GREET 3.0! ๐ŸŒธโœจ

As the program formally started and the crowd settled into their individual seats, two of the pretty Ate's of PFC โ€” Niel April Renegado and Jhona Lee Fetaluna โ€” sang a song that matched the energy and confidence of the new members as they started to introduce themselves with cute dance steps. They also chose a value that they wanted to improve as they entered the PFC Family.

Following the fun and entertainment, a heartwarming message was delivered by Sir Danilo Roque Llorin, one of the Advisers of the Peer Facilitators Club (PFC). His message left a heart-piercing impression that deeply moved the hearts of everyone listening. He added that being respectful and embodying good qualities should not remain as mere values, but should always be reflected in the character of everyone who is part of the organization.

After our PFC Adviser, Ma'am Rose, gave a meaningful message to each of the outgoing members of the club, she then announced the newly appointed officers for School Year 2026-2027. As the new officers get announced, a new chapter begins to make the organization much better.

In addition to this, Ma'am Rose also announced the newly appointed President of Peer Facilitators Club (PFC) for the School Year 2026-2027, Nethusia Khloence Cajucom, who wholeheartedly accepted the responsibility to lead and serve as an inspiration to everyone.

After the announcement, the newly appointed officers took their oathโ€” led by Sir Danilo Roque Llorin โ€” and officially accepted the responsibility to serve, lead, and do their duties with pure dedication and integrity together with a lot of love to the organization, and to the people inside it. Along with this appointment comes the beginning of a new chapter filled with commitment, unity, and dedication for the organization.

This meaningful moment is even more special with the guidance and support of the two amazing Advisers of the club, Maam Rose and Sir Dan.

To conclude the colorful celebration, it was followed by a energetic and fun mob dance led by the PFC Performers along with the Outgoing and Incoming Presidents. The lively performance filled the venue with kembot, laughter, excitement, and positive energy, which made the event even more memorable for everyone present.

As the event closes, the whole program gave a meaningful impression that "No matter where life takes us, we will always have this moment to look back on". The celebration will surely remain and leave a lasting mark in their memories and hearts.

The program began with an upbeat, humorous dance performance by the emcees, Jay Lord Vega and Mary France Abanes, who exuded confidence and chemistry on stage.

Their performance set the tone for the day and gave the event a positive start. The program began with a surprise that nobody anticipated, just when everyone thought they knew what would happen next. Their Ates and Kuyas were left wondering and speculating behind the blindfolds covering their eyes as the other peers helped blindfold them and led them to a vehicle. This symbolizes their road trip to college life, however, PFC will always be their home. They finally reached the surprise they had all been waiting for after what seemed like an endless ride, only to discover they were back where they had been, leaving them confused and laughing at the unexpected turn of events. The current and former members then formed two lines, giving the outgoing peers red pens and carefully putting garlands around their necks as a way of honoring their contributions to the PFC family. When they were done, they signed and left a few words for the current and upcoming Peer Facilitators Club members. We are grateful to Sir Romy Prima for the use of his car for this surprise.

Following the new members' arrival and introduction, the PFC Singers put on an amazing show! Let's give it to Sarah Llorin, Jhona Fetaluna, Niel Renegado, Xian, and Ivan Buquid. Not only did they do it once, but they did it three times; their not-so-perfect performance brought chaos, joy, and laughter to the faces of the audience.

Sir Dan Llorin, one of our cherished PFC advisers, appeared shortly after the performance. He emphasized that being respectful and exhibiting positive traits, even when no one is around, is more important than being flawless to gain entry into the club.

Following this, assigned peers reached out to one loved one of each outgoing peer to share a short but meaningful message. Then, the technical team began to play the AVP for outgoing peers. The video edit brought tears to their eyes and smiles to their faces.

In the meantime, Jovie Tangtang, our former internal vice president, shared a message that made people laugh and cry as she recalled the experiences that influenced her path within the organization.

Now, Ma'am Rose Bayrante, our adviser, stood before everyone, and as she spoke about each outgoing peer's distinct personality, everyone's eyes were filled with emotion.

And as they step into a new chapter, they are bound to face much bigger challenges ahead of them. Yet, they are reminded that there are people behind them who will always support everything they do in their journey and celebrate every milestone they achieve.

As the vacation started, the NNHS Library which served as our working area was once quiet when the preparation for Final Wave & Meet and Greet 3.0 began. But little by little, the silence was replaced by footsteps rushing through its stairs to the hall itself and laughters echoing between conversations, and the sound of people working together for something meaningful. We are more than grateful that our new School Librarian - Ms. Karen Castillo, allowed us to invade her place for a period of time.

And what makes this events even more momentous, is that our peers carried more than just materials. Behind closed doors, they also carried pressure, excitement, sleepless nights, and the determination to create a moment our outgoing and new peers would never forget.

Even during the moments when exhaustion started to show and everyone was running low on energy, we somehow still found reasons to laugh which filled the preparation with teamwork, friendship, and genuine effort.

This is a reminder that endings and beginnings can also be beautiful and exciting especially when they are prepared with heart by people who truly care. ๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ

In her speech, she expressed her desire to become a comitted President and to be a good friend to everyone โ€” a friend who listens, understands, and genuinely cares for others.

"Good afternoon, to the new peers, old peers, and the pioneer peers!

To be honest, kahit ako, nagulat din talaga.

I remember watching the PFC do peer talks before. Kaya sumali ako, at ang isa sa wish ko noon ay sana maging officer ako balang araw para maka work with the club and enjoy moments with them.

Pero nagulat talaga ako nang sabihin nila if pwede ako for the position for President. I honestly didn't expect it, at alam kong medyo nabibigla rin kayo ngayon.

As your president, ayokong makita niyo ako bilang nasa taas niyo lang. Gusto kong maging sandalan niyo rin, kung paano niyo ako naging pamilya simula nung sumali ako. I want to be a good president to you guys. someone who listens, someone who cares, at someone na madali niyong malalapitan tuwing kailangan niyo ng kaibigan.

Hindi ko ito kaya mag-isa, kaya I know we're going to help each other. To Sir Dan na naunang nagtiwala sa kakayahan ko, kay Ma'am Rose na nakakita what is beyond my personality, and to you my PFC family, thank you so much and here's to a wonderful year ahead of us!

Again, this is Nethusia Khloence Cajucom, Your president for school 2026-2027. Thank you so much, Everyone!"

"โ€ŽTo our advisers, Ma'am Rose and Sir Dan, to Ma'am Aubrey, and the guidance gounselors who are present today. To the PFC Batch 2025, and lastly to the new members of our growing family.
โ€ŽI have served and became a member of the Peer Facilitators Club for three years. I joined the PFC because of my friend noong Grade 9. Hindi mo man maririnig ito, pero thank you, Mary Franceโ€”or should I say, Iska. Thank you for pushing me to pursue this path. I was amazed pa by the initiatives of the PFCโ€”from promoting holistic growth and mental health, to shaping leaders and guiding students who silently struggle every single day.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽNoong Grade 10, naging Social Media Manager ako. At to be honest, natatakot ako noon.
PFC taught me that leadership is about showing up even when nobody notices. It is choosing to stay kahit pagod ka na. It is carrying responsibilities silently because you know someone has to do it.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI learned how to fall, and how to rise with profound courage. Natutunan kong bumangon kahit ilang beses akong napagod at nadapa. Because PFC is not just about peer talks, activities, or events. It is about becoming the kind of person who becomes light for others, especially when they are trapped in their darkest moments.
During my term, there were nights when I would silently ask myself, โ€œBakit laging ako?โ€ โ€œNasaan yung ibang members?โ€ โ€œMaayos ba akong leader?โ€ โ€œMay pagkukulang ba ako?โ€ โ€œAko ba talaga yung pangulong kailangan nila?โ€
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThose questions slowly consumed me.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI may be the president, pero hindi ako robot. There were moments when I also needed someone to ask me if I was okay. Someone who would listen to me the way I listened to others.
โ€ŽMaโ€™am Rose and Sir Danโ€ฆ thank you.
The familiar faces during preparation, ex*****on, and restoration.
Our journey was not always colorful confettis and rainbows. But those moments taught us resilience. Tinuruan tayo nitong bumangon nang mas matatag, mas mapagkumbaba, at mas maunawain.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽTo the new peer facilitators, I hope you continue what we started. I hope you become the kind of leaders who listen not just to respond, but to understand. Be the safe space for students who are silently carrying battles they never talk about.
โ€ŽTo the next president of the Peer Facilitators Club, hindi magiging madali ang tatahakin mong landas.
Lead with compassion, patience, and heart.
โ€ŽThere will be struggles, disappointments, and silent battlesโ€”but never forget why you started. Continue becoming the safe space that students need. And when your term ends someday, I hope people will remember you not because of your title, but because of the lives you touched.
โ€ŽBut no matter where life takes me, mananatili ang PFC sa puso ko.
โ€ŽI have always known na kailangan ko ring umalis. That I needed to move forward and walk a new path. But all these roads will always be connected to my homeโ€”The PFC.
The Peer Facilitators Club did not just teach me how to lead. It taught me how to keep going even when things get heavy. It taught me how to serve with compassion, and how to love people even in silence.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI may not be the best president, but I hope I became the president you needed.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽMaraming salamat, PFC.
โ€ŽSa tatlong taon ng paglago.
โ€ŽSa tatlong taon ng ating pinagsamahan.
โ€ŽAt sa tatlong taong habambuhay kong dadalhin sa aking puso.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽFor the last time.
โ€ŽThis has been your host.
โ€ŽYour voiceover.
โ€ŽYour president.
โ€ŽYour Kuya Lorenz. Signing off."

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: Outgoing PFC Internal Vice President (IVP) Jovie Ann Tangtang emotionally delivered her Message of Gratitude as she bid farewell to her position as the IVP of the NNHS Guidance: Peer Facilitators Club (PFC) during the Meet and Greet x Final Wave held on May 18, 2026, at the NNHS Civic Center. In her speech, she shared that PFC became her home, where she found comfort and discovered herself as a person through the club.

************

"Hi, Peers!

Thank you for this chance to share some of my journey here over the four years of staying and choosing this PFC family. Medyo mahaba ito, so please let me have this time to express my gratitude dahil hindi talaga ako vocal sa feelings at thoughts ko.

Hindi ko talaga ine-expect na gagawin nila akong official member after failing the screening and interview process.

Thank you, Ashanti, for inviting me and letting me accompany you every time na may ganap kayo dito sa PFC, and even sa everyday visits mo sa Guidance.

Then one day, Maโ€™am Rose asked me if gusto ko bang maging part ng PFC. Of course, sinabi kong gusto ko. Out of nowhere talaga iyon kaya sobrang hindi ko in-expect.

Kaya thank you sa PFC Officers Batch 2022โ€“2023, headed by Ate Trisha, Sir Dan, and Maโ€™am Rose, sa tiwalang ibinigay ninyo sa akin at sa pagbukas ng pintuan na hindi ko akalain na magiging sandalan at pahinga ko.

You never failed to show your full support and unconditional love sa akin, and I witnessed it myself noong contestant ako ng BOW 2023.

And of course, kay Ate Marylouโ€”isa rin siya sa umalis noon dahil sa ibang school na siya magse-senior high.

And ngayon, sa bilis ng panahon, Iโ€™m standing here right nowโ€ฆ at ako naman pala ang aalis sa buong pusong minahal at nilaban ko.

Siguro curious kayo bakit ko sinabing โ€œnilaban.โ€ Hereโ€™s why.

Dito rin ako maraming natutunan na lessons na tumulong sa growth koโ€”not just as a leader or as a student, but also as a person.

Naging pahinga. Naging safe place.
Thank you for every lesson, every laugh, every comfort, every scolding, every advice, and every memory na dadalhin ko habang buhay.

And now that itโ€™s finally my turn to leave, gusto kong malaman ninyo na malaking part kayo ng kung sino ako ngayon.

And before I end this, gusto ko rin humingi ng sorry if may mga times na hindi ninyo masyadong naramdaman yung presence ko, o kung nagkaroon man ako ng pagkukulang sa ilan kong responsibilities. There were times na hindi ko rin nabibigay yung best ko dahil sa pagod, personal struggles, at ibaโ€™t ibang bagay na sabay-sabay kong hinaharap ng tahimik.

But despite that, thank you dahil hindi ninyo ako pinabayaan at patuloy ninyo pa rin akong tinanggap at inintindi.

To my fellow peers, officers, advisers, and everyone who became part of my PFC journeyโ€”thank you for becoming my second family.

And of course, a special thank you to Maโ€™am Rose and Sir Dan for the trust, support, patience, and for never getting tired of pushing and motivating me to become better. Thank you for always believing in me even during the times when I doubted myself.

Thank you for your unconditional love and for becoming a mother and father figure not just for me, but for all of us in PFC.

And to the members who will be staying, please continue to take care of Maโ€™am Rose and Sir Dan the same way they took care of all of us. Love and appreciate them while you still have the chance because not everyone gets to have advisers who genuinely love and support their students like they do.

PFC will always have a special place in my heart.

And no matter where life takes us after this, dala-dala ko lahat ng natutunan, memories, at pagmamahal na ibinigay ninyo.

Thank you for being my comfort, my strength, my home, and my family.

And to the old members who will be staying, thank you for continuing the love, service, and warmth that made PFC feel like home for many of us.

Please continue guiding the new members, make them feel welcome, and remind them that PFC is more than just an organizationโ€”itโ€™s a family. And kahit wala na kami physically sa PFC, we will always be cheering for all of you from afar.

And to the new members of PFC, treasure every moment you will have here. Donโ€™t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, make mistakes, ask questions, and build connections with the people around you.

Hindi ninyo man agad mapansin ngayon, pero one day marerealize ninyo kung gaano kalaki ang magiging impact ng PFC sa buhay ninyoโ€”not just as students or leaders, but as people.

There will be stressful days, tiring practices, and moments na gugustuhin ninyong sumuko. But please stay. Stay for the people, for the memories, for the lessons, and for the version of yourself na mabubuo dahil sa organization na ito.

Love PFC with all your heart the same way PFC will love you back.

Once again, Thank you for being my comfort, my strength, my home, and my PFC family.

Loveโ€” your IVP Jovie"
