As we wrap up Fire Prevention Month, let’s look back on the successful Fire Safety Seminar held last March 25, 2026 by the University of East-Caloocan College Red Cross Youth Council in partnership with the Caloocan City Filipino-Chinese Fire Prevention Association Inc.

Participants learned the basics of fire, practiced EDITH (Exit Drills in the Home), experienced hands-on fire extinguisher use, and even got to handle a fire hose—equipping them with life-saving skills.

But fire safety doesn’t end in March—it’s a responsibility we carry every single day. It means staying alert, preventing hazards, and being ready to act when it matters most. 🔥

All Red Cross Youth volunteers are encouraged to switch off non-essential lights at 8:30 PM today as a symbol of unity and commitment to our planet.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 — 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟒𝟗 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬!

Last February 07, 2026, the Red Cross Youth Caloocan successfully conducted the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 at 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙠𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙞 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡, 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙨 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮, with 49 enthusiastic students in attendance.

The Youth Volunteer Formation Course serves as an important foundation for our RCY members. It introduces them to the principles, mission, and values of the Red Cross, while equipping them with essential knowledge about volunteerism and humanitarian service. More than just an orientation, this course helps young volunteers develop leadership skills, strengthen teamwork, and build camaraderie with fellow youth who share the same passion for service.

Through engaging discussions and activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of their role as RCY members — not just as volunteers, but as future leaders ready to make a difference in their communities.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞: 𝙼𝙰𝚂𝚂 𝚈𝙾𝚄𝚃𝙷 𝚅𝙾𝙻𝚄𝙽𝚃𝙴𝙴𝚁 𝙵𝙾𝚁𝙼𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝙲𝙾𝚄𝚁𝚂𝙴 𝟸𝟶𝟸𝟻!

Last October, in celebration of the Red Cross Youth Month, the Philippine Red Cross Caloocan City Chapter proudly conducted the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) — a 2-day training that brought together passionate and service-driven students from different Elementary and High Schools across Caloocan City!

The activity aimed to strengthen the spirit of volunteerism among the youth by helping them discover the true essence of the Red Cross Movement — compassion, humanity, and service to others. Through fun and interactive learning sessions, participants developed their leadership, teamwork, and humanitarian values that will guide them as future Red Cross Youth Volunteers.✨
