The Philippine Red Cross-Caloocan City Chapter, together with 68 dedicated teachers, students, and staff from participating schools, took part in the International Coastal Cleanup 2026 at Tanza Marine Tree Park, Tanza, Navotas City, an activity organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources โ National Capital Region (DENR National Capital Region). Guided by the theme โClean Seas for Resilient Communities,โ our Red Cross Youth volunteers came together to serve, care for our environment, and contribute to cleaner and healthier coastal communities.
Protecting our oceans is more than keeping our shores cleanโit means protecting marine life, preserving coastal ecosystems, and safeguarding communities whose lives and livelihoods depend on our seas. Every piece of waste we collect is a reminder that pollution can have lasting effects on our environment. Through responsible waste disposal, reducing single-use plastics, proper waste segregation, and choosing sustainable practices, each of us can help prevent pollution and become a better steward of our oceans.
