The Rotaract Club of Ibatan-Calbayog informs the community that President Rtr. Vince Cabella has filed a temporary Leave of Absence to prioritize his academic responsibilities.

In the spirit of “Service Above Self,” Vice President Rtr. Katherine Capalis will serve as Officer-in-Charge (OIC), ensuring the continuity of the club’s programs, operations, and advocacies.

This transition has been duly acknowledged by the Officers and Members of the Rotaract Club of Ibatan-Calbayog. We remain united in service and committed to creating lasting impact in our community.

DENTAL MISSION & OTHER SERVICES 🦷🌿

Earlier today, Wednesday, April 9, 2026, a total of 70 participants including 60 children gathered for a meaningful Dental Mission & Other Services headed by New Life Calbayog.

Through this initiative, children received essential dental care and were given hygiene kits sponsored by the Rotary Club of Calbayog, promoting proper oral health and cleanliness. Beyond healthcare, the activity also featured an engaging art class facilitated by the Rotaract Club of Greater Northwest Samar State University, creating a space for creativity, learning, and joy. 🎨

This outreach was more than just a service it was a collective effort to uplift lives, spread smiles, and make a positive impact in the community.

The program began with a dental hygiene orientation for students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, highlighting the importance of proper brushing techniques and daily oral care habits for long-term dental health.
This was followed by the distribution of essential school supplies to 64 students from Kindergarten to Grade VI to help support their academic needs.
To further strengthen community welfare, a feeding program was held for 70 local children to help improve nutritional support within the barangay.
Shirts were also given to parents of schoolchildren, courtesy of VP Nilo Chan and Rtn. Baby Chan, to help provide protection during rainy weather.

In the course of the challenges we can help to fight hunger, foods were distributed to the pupils of kidergarten - Grade 6.

DAPC WEEK 2025

Together with the Rotary Club of Calbayog, the members of Rotaract Club of Ibatan–Calbayog visited the Calbayog City District Jail to share books, a new bookshelf to the Bureau of Jail Management, and other resources that support learning and personal growth for Persons Deprived of Liberty. The club also provided cans of paint and painting supplies to enhance the jail’s reading area, creating a more welcoming and inspiring space. Held on October 25, 2025, the initiative aimed to offer a place where individuals can read, reflect, and find hope showing that education remains a powerful force even in confined environments. In line with the observance of National Correctional Consciousness Week, the activity strengthens Rotary’s commitment to Basic Education and Literacy.

Save Lives, Donate Blood
Rotary Blood Letting Day

The Rotary Club Of Calbayog, together with the Rotaract Club of Ibatan-Calbayog Bloodletting Activity.

The initiative was made possible through a partnership with the Calbayog District Hospital and the Calbayog City Water District, reflecting the collective commitment of these organizations to community health and welfare.

Out of the fifty-two (52) individuals who registered for the event, forty-two (42) generous individuals successfully completed the blood donation process. Their selfless deed signified their commitment to save lives as each donation can potentially save multiple lives and support patients dealing with serious medical conditions, injuries, or surgeries.

Being part of saving lives, donate Blood, support blood donation drives and encourage the community to become donors.
