Happy International Women’s Day!

Across Southeast Asia, young women are building solutions where they stand. In their communities, in classrooms, in farms, in technology spaces, and in places where change is often needed most.

These voices come from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talkshow of the YSEALI Seeds for the Future Project Showcase in Jakarta, where women leaders from across ASEAN shared what it means to start, persist, and lead even without guarantees.

Their reflections remind us that leadership does not begin with perfect conditions. It begins with people who see a problem, care deeply about it, and choose to act.

Today we highlight a few of those voices. Women leading change in ASEAN.

Happy birthday to our founder and chairwoman, Miss Ella.

Today we’re looking back to 2022, when Mountain Support was just beginning in the mountains of Cabuyao Village, Oriental Mindoro. Instead of a party, she chose to spend her birthday with the community, joined by her family, doing what would later grow into the work we continue today.

May you keep finding strength in the places that shaped you, and courage in choosing service, even when it’s not easy.

Seeds of Change, in action.

After months of mentoring and peer learning across ASEAN, this stage brings youth-led projects into the spotlight. Not as pitches, but as lived work shaped by community, inclusion, and persistence.

Mountain Support PH’s Chairperson, Ella Bautista, will serve as moderator for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship segment of the YSEALI Seeds for the Future 2025 Project Showcase at , helping surface the stories, lessons, and questions behind youth-driven innovation across the region.

Proud to stand alongside young leaders turning ideas into impact, and to be part of this milestone moment for the YSEALI Seeds community.

Coming soon.

Mountain Support PH is heading to Indonesia! 🥳

Our founder and mentor, Ella Bautista, will be joining the YSEALI Seeds Impact Showcase in Jakarta on January 13–16, 2026, as part of the 2025 YSEALI Seeds for the Future program.

This gathering brings together young leaders from across ASEAN to share learning, growth, and the impact of projects shaped by community, collaboration, and purpose.
Grateful for the journey, the trust, and the opportunity to continue learning alongside fellow YSEALI Seeds.

See you there!

Honoring Ginaw Bilog on his 73rd birthday, Manlilikha ng Bayan and guardian of Hanunuo Mangyan script and Ambahan poetry. 🥳

As we work alongside Indigenous communities in Oriental Mindoro, we are reminded that culture, language, and ancestral knowledge must always be protected and passed on.

The nation honors Manlilikha ng Bayan Ginaw Bilog on his 73rd Birth Anniversary.

Ginaw Bilog was instrumental in safeguarding the vast folk literature of the Hanunuo Mangyan. Originating from Mansalay in Oriental Mindoro, he is revered for his relentless dedication to protecting the Hanunuo Mangyan script.

His commitment went beyond simple safeguarding; he fervently imparted the tradition of Ambahan poetry—a distinct style of rhythmic verse—ensuring its survival for the benefit of future generations. Through his unwavering devotion, Bilog kept alive the cultural heritage of his people while enriching the nation's tradition of indigenous wisdom and artistry.

As YSEALI marks 12 years, we close our 2025 story by listening to the voices that continue to shape the community.

These reflections were shared by YSEALI Seeds 2022 alumni during regional learning and mentoring spaces, including the Project Growth and Resilience webinar convened this year for the 2025 Seeds cohort. The session brought together 22 Seeds teams from across all 11 ASEAN countries, creating space for shared learning, honest reflection, and peer support beyond the grant cycle.

We extend our sincere thanks to Hazel Duya (Philippines), Nagorn Promma (Thailand), and Ella Bautista (Philippines) for generously sharing their insights, time, and lived experience. Their voices reflect the heart of YSEALI: leaders who continue to give back, guide others, and strengthen the community they are part of.

Happy 12th anniversary, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative . Thank you for building a space where leadership continues long after the program ends.

As YSEALI marks 12 years, we arrive at the part of the journey where giving back became just as important as building.

After years of learning, growing, and finding our footing, 2025 reminded us that leadership is not only about what you create, but how you support others along the way. It was a year of returning to familiar spaces with new responsibilities, and of working alongside fellow YSEALI alumni who continue to shape their communities in different corners of ASEAN.

This chapter affirmed what YSEALI has always stood for: a community that grows leaders who stay connected, share what they learn, and show up for one another long after the program ends.

Happy 12th anniversaryYoung Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative. Thank you for being a space where journeys come full circle.

Mountain Support PH Inc. joined a meaningful gift-giving activity for 100 Mangyan beneficiaries from Baco, Oriental Mindoro, held as part of the Command Visit of PBGEN Lou F. Evangelista, Director of the Philippines National Police Maritime Group.

The activity was led together with PCOL Pedro P. Martinez Jr., Deputy Director for Operations; PCOL Juritz B. Rara, Chief of RMU 4B; other officers and uniformed personnel of Regional Maritime Unit 4B; members of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development 4B (RAGPTD4B); and officials from the Municipality of Baco LGU.

MSPI’s Chairwoman, Miss Ella Bautista, who also serves as RAGPTD4B Secretary and Youth Ambassador, was present in support of the activity, which reflected a shared commitment to community care and respectful engagement with Indigenous communities.

The Mangyan community expressed their gratitude for the support extended, especially as the year draws to a close. We recognize the significance of this visit and the presence of uniformed leaders who took time to engage directly with the community.

We remain grateful for opportunities to stand alongside partners working toward dignity, care, and meaningful presence in Indigenous communities.

Three years ago, we were featured by Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative as part of the Seeds for the Future program.

As YSEALI marks its 12th anniversary, we’re grateful for the support that helped turn early ideas into grounded, community-led work. Looking ahead, we remain open to continued learning and collaboration in the years to come.

As part of YSEALI’s 12th anniversary, we continue sharing how our journey unfolded after the beginning.

The years after 2022 taught us that growth is not just about doing more. It is about stepping into new roles, carrying responsibility differently, and learning how local work fits into a bigger regional story.

These were the years we learned to show up beyond our community, while staying grounded in it. Where one project slowly became an organization. Where learning turned into mentoring. Where small beginnings started to echo further than we expected.

We are grateful to Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative for creating spaces where young leaders are not only supported to build, but trusted to grow.

More of our journey continues soon.

As YSEALI celebrates 12 years, we look back at where our own story began.

In 2021, small afternoon meet-ups turned into Project Mountain Support.
In 2022, we were selected from nearly 500 ASEAN applications for the YSEALI Seeds for the Future grant and brought Tindahan Para sa Tanan to life with the community.

These early years shaped everything that came after.

Happy 12th anniversary, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative , and thank you for being part of our beginning.
