Today, we honor the enduring legacy of the Philippine Flag the timeless symbol of our nation’s freedom, courage, and identity. First unfurled on May 28, 1898 during the historic Battle of Alapan in Imus, Cavite, the Philippine Flag became the banner of the Filipino people’s struggle for independence and self-determination.
More than a national emblem, our flag reflects the sacrifices of our heroes, the resilience of our ancestors, and the unwavering spirit of patriotism that continues to unite every Filipino generation.
As we commemorate National Flag Day, may we remember the history behind every color, star, and ray and continue to uphold the values of unity, honor, and love for country.
