Our Brave Girl is Finally Home 🇵🇭🥰
Welcome back, Eliana!

After a long and challenging journey, we’re so happy to share that Eli is finally back in the Philippines. From our Family, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your love, prayers, and support, we truly felt each one of them through this journey.

As she continues to recover from her liver transplant, we gently ask for your continued understanding. Eli’s immune system is still very delicate, so we’re not able to welcome visitors just yet. Even a simple cold could be risky for her right now.

We’re also avoiding crowded places for the time being, as her body is still building strength. We know many of you are excited to see her and we can’t wait for the day she can be with you all again, strong and healthy. 💛

Thank you for helping us keep our Eli safe as she continues her healing. Your love truly carries us through. 🙏

When we first arrived in India, we were told that Eli had chronic liver disease secondary to CMV infection. CMV (Cytomegalovirus) is a virus that can stay in the body even after treatment, and we were terrified it might attack her new liver after the transplant. But by God’s grace and through the help of the amazing team of doctors, Eli is now CMV negative and we are beyond thankful for that. Even on the day of her discharge, her final diagnosis remained unclear. The doctors weren’t fully convinced that CMV alone caused such severe liver damage. So Eli underwent more tests to uncover the real cause. Her genetic tests came back normal, but her liver biopsy confirmed what the team suspected: our brave little girl has Biliary Atresia. A rare and serious disease in infants where the bile ducts are blocked or absent, leading to bile buildup and liver damage. The only cure is a liver transplant, and thankfully, we were able to do it just in time.We are incredibly grateful that Eli received her transplant when she needed it most. As of now, we are still in India for her continuous post-transplant monitoring, praying and hoping that her lab results continue to look good and that her healing continues smoothly. Our deepest thanks go to the amazing liver transplant team led by Dr. Neerav Goyal, the pediatric gastroenterology team led by Dr. Anupam Sibal, and the ever-kind and attentive nursing team (sisters 🫶🏻) who took care of Eli with so much love and gentleness throughout her hospital stay. And to everyone who supported us in prayers, donations, and encouragement, thank you for helping us give Eli the gift of life and hope. Because of all of you, she is here today, smiling and fighting strong. 🥰🙏🏻

Eli’s Homecoming Update 💛

Last Thursday night, our brave little Eli was finally discharged from the hospital. After everything she’s been through from her transplant to ICU recovery, bringing her home in our arms is a moment we’ll never forget.

Her total hospital bill reached 2.9 million rupees, and while we’re beyond grateful to have come this far, we still need help to raise funds for her lifetime medications, which are vital for her healing and will be taken home with her.

We’re continuing her recovery here in India, with weekly check-ups and lab work. The journey is far from over, but we take it one day at a time.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the doctors, ICU sisters, and even the housekeeping staff who cared for Eli with such compassion. Your hands helped save her life and we’ll never forget it. 🫶🏻

To everyone who has prayed, supported, and stood beside us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please continue to keep Eli in your thoughts and prayers as she heals.

Eli’s 9th Month and Her Bravest Day Yet

Today, as we celebrate Eli’s 9th month of life, we also face the most important and emotional day in her journey, her liver transplant day.

This morning, I carried Eli in my arms as we brought her to the operating room. She was sleeping peacefully, wrapped in her favorite blanky , she is so calm and so beautiful. It was a moment of mixed emotions… knowing that I had to let her go, even for just a little while, so she could be healed. The next time I will hold her, she will be on her way to recovery and a healthier life.

Today, she will undergo a 12-hour surgery, and beside her in courage and love is her daddy, Eli's hero, who will donate a part of his liver. His operation will take around 9 hours, and then both of them will be brought to the ICU.

This day is full of hope, faith, and love. And so we ask you, our dear family, friends, and all those who have followed Eli’s journey, to please pray with us. Pray for a successful surgery, for strength and protection for Eli and her dad, and for wisdom and steady hands for the transplant team.

Thank you for holding us in your hearts. Your prayers and love carry us through this day the most hopeful we’ve ever had.🙏🏻

Eli’s Update: A Step Closer to Healing

Last April 27, we flew almost 12 hours from Manila to Delhi so Eli can finally get the liver transplant she needs. She cried a few times during the flight, but she stayed strong, even during takeoff and a few bumpy moments. Our little girl is so brave.

Since arriving, we’ve been going back and forth to the hospital. Tests and procedures have begun for Eli and her donor. The doctors have already adjusted her medications and diet as part of the preparation for the big operation. Each step feels heavy, but every day also brings us closer to healing. We are doing everything we can, pushing forward with hope and faith. The doctors are working quickly because they want Eli to have her transplant as soon as possible.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped us, prayed for Eli, and sent kind messages. This journey is hard, but knowing we are not alone lifts us in ways words can’t express.

Please continue to support our brave Eli as she gets ready for her transplant.

🎉 Eli Turns 8 Months and she is Mulan the brave princess warrior! 💛

This past month has been another tough one. Eli was admitted to the hospital for the first time. Her lab results continue to rise and fall, and it's been really scary for us.

Last Thursday, we were blessed to have a free consultation with one of the top liver transplant surgeons at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in Delhi, Dr. Neerav Goyal. He confirmed what we feared... Eli urgently needs a liver transplant. Her liver and spleen are already swollen, and her test results show the damage is progressing. Even though we were preparing ourselves for this, it still breaks our hearts. 💔

We are now processing all the required documents, vaccinations, and visas to proceed with her treatment in India.

To everyone who has donated, prayed, shared, or simply sent us words of comfort, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means the world to us. your help has allowed us to secure some of the most important early steps, including part of the deposit for her transplant. 💛

Please continue to include Eli and our family in your prayers.

We're still raising funds and accepting orders for our homemade Leche Flan as a way to support Eli’s journey.
