“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?” Galatians 1:10

Most of us know what it feels like to shrink or soften ourselves to keep someone else comfortable. It’s exhausting. And deep down, we know something is off.

Paul wrote these words from a place of hard-won freedom. He had chased approval once, recognized the trap, and refused to go back.

The invitation here is simple. Let God’s opinion of you be the loudest voice in the room.

Beloved, please hear my heart. We were never meant to save the world by ourselves. That weight belongs to Jesus. And He is building a whole Body to carry His love into every corner. So you are free. Free to slow down for the one He is highlighting to you today. The mama on the jeepney. The barista. Your own son or daughter sitting in front of you needing one more minute of your eyes. Some seasons you will stop for many. Some seasons just a few. Listen to His voice and follow His pace, not someone else’s.

“Go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:37, the parable of the Good Samaritan)

Three questions I ask before I say yes to anything now:
1) Has God already spoken/shown me where to focus this season?
2) Am I saying yes out of fear of disappointing someone?
3) Will this yes cost a yes God already asked me to keep?
If the answer to number 2 or 3 is yes, my answer is a loving no….
