On June 17, 2026, scholarship beneficiaries participated in a meaningful career development session facilitated by Executive Director Rosalinda T. Perez, together with the Area Coordinators and Volunteer Coordinators. The activity encouraged third-year students to reflect on their career aspirations, identify their strengths, and recognize the challenges they may encounter as they prepare for their future professions. A mock interview session was also conducted, during which participants were guided in preparing and completing a structured resume.

The scholars sincerely express their heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for the time, effort, and guidance they generously shared. Their dedication and willingness to invest in the scholars’ growth made the experience both inspiring and empowering. The knowledge, encouragement, and practical insights gained from the session will serve as a valuable foundation as the scholars continue pursuing their goals and preparing for their future careers.

Nothing is happier than when the Open Heart Foundation Worldwide (OHFW) met their scholars.

Sharing Brighter Future: Empowering Through Awareness & Action

Taking care of yourself is like taking care of the future. Have you ever encountered stress? It is inevitable to experience stress, as it is said, "As long as we live, stress is with us, together." Our Area (Cagwait) Coordinator (Ma'am Mae Ortega) said, "There is nothing wrong in validating our emotions; we are allowed to feel it, regardless of who you are." What matters is our response in handling the stress we are feeling. In our vulnerable times, particularly when we are pressured to do something, there is nothing wrong with taking a break, inhaling and exhaling, and then seeking motivation and inspiration to move forward. Talking to someone about your lowest times doesn't make you weak; instead, it helps you heal and lessen the burden you are carrying.Our session ended; however, the lessons we learned will remain forever.

The OHFW does not only provide educational assistance to us scholars, but it also provides important lessons. As we grow, scholars, we are taught to be practical, and we are assisted to be equipped for the future and strengthen our spiritual, physical, emotional, and even mental selves. The word "THANK YOU!" is an understatement; our appreciation is unmeasurable for the OHFW generosity. May your goodness be heard, and more blessings to come!

We would never forget to mention the Executive Director, Ma'am Linda, and also the Area Coordinators, Sir Mark and Ma'am Dave. Thank you for visiting us, scholars in Cagwait; your place was distant to us, yet your hearts chose to come.

Special mention to our volunteer coordinators, Romel Montenegro and Wilson Irizari. We scholars truly appreciate your efforts in molding us to be better students, children, citizens, and future leaders. Without the two of you, we could never be what we are today. The lessons we earned were the lessons you gave.

Super ✅:Release of an encouraging mindset

Students face difficulties in academics, personal challenges, and family issues, especially financial problems. However, due to the financial assistance of the Open Heart Foundation Worldwide (OHFW), these students, not just students but OHFW scholars, were granted another release of allowance to help fulfill their school and personal necessities. These scholars are sincerely grateful for the support provided by the OHFW program, which offers them financial assistance that alleviates the burdens associated with being a student.

Furthermore, the meeting did not end with just the release of allowance, but it enriched the mindsets of the scholars through the assistance of their mentors (Romel Montenegro & Wilson Irizari). The discussion demonstrated the importance of proper management, preparedness, responsibility, practicality, prioritization, and so on… The lessons empower the scholars to be responsible youths and students.
