Xavier University recently concluded a high-impact replication training for the SPARK-COIL Project, a key initiative under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program. The event was held from 22 to 23 April 2026 and it focused on "Designing and Planning Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)," equipping educators with the expertise to lead internationalized, virtual classrooms.

The Strengthen and Promote Academic Agility, Resilience, and Knowledge Exchange through Collaborative Online International Learning (SPARK-COIL) is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE) initiative and the first of its kind led by a Philippine consortium.

This Erasmus+ initiative facilitates collaboration among five Jesuit universities in the Philippines—Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Naga University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan—along with European partner institutions, the University of Alicante, Spain, and WSB University, Poland.
