Because of your support, our Safe Water Action Team (SWAT) has been continuously deployed since June 11 to the affected areas, working closely with local government units, community leaders, humanitarian organizations, and emergency response partners to address one of the most urgent needs of disaster-affected populations: access to safe drinking water.

To date, SWFEC-Ph has successfully implemented the following actions:

* Rapid assessment of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions in earthquake-affected communities.
* Deployment of emergency response teams to the municipalities of Glan, Malapatan, Alabel and Surallah, as well as General Santos City.
* Installation and operation of localized safe water hubs in evacuation centers and affected communities.
* Distribution of safe drinking water to displaced families and vulnerable populations, particularly children, women, and the elderly.
* Coordination with local government units, barangay officials, and disaster management offices to identify priority areas and ensure effective service delivery.
* Engagement with humanitarian actors and volunteer groups to maximize response coverage and avoid duplication of efforts.
* Community education on safe water handling, storage, and hygiene practices to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases following the disaster.

Despite these efforts, the needs remain substantial. Strong aftershocks continue to affect the region, and many communities remain without reliable access to safe and potable water. The demand for emergency water treatment systems, storage solutions, logistics support, and operational resources continues to grow.

🚰 Earthquake Response Update: Safe Water Deployment in Malapatan and Glan, Sarangani

Yesterday, Sunday, June 14, 2026, marked another significant step in our mission to provide safe drinking water to earthquake-affected communities.

✅ In Purok 5A, Tabango, Malapatan, our team completed the installation of a localized water hub by deploying a 200-liter storage drum integrated with a Sq**rt ultrafiltration unit. What was once non-potable water delivered by tanker trucks can now be transformed into safe, clean drinking water for the community. Barangay officials and residents expressed heartfelt gratitude for this life-saving support.

🤝 In Glan, we conducted high-level coordination meetings with local government leaders, including Vice Mayor James P. Yap Jr., who immediately endorsed our emergency water distribution initiative and directed municipal offices to fast-track operational arrangements.

🔬 Together with the Municipal Health Office and the Bureau of Fire Protection, we established strict water safety protocols for the deployment of the SkyHydrant Max Ultrafiltration System. Water samples from the source, transport tanker, and post-filtration output have been submitted for laboratory testing, with results expected within the next 18 hours.

⭐ One of the most encouraging developments came from local officials and responders who noted that, among the various water interventions currently on the ground, the SkyHydrant system stands out for its mobility, rapid deployment, and ease of operation—qualities that are critical in emergency situations.

🚒 Once water quality clearance is secured, distribution will begin immediately using BFP fire trucks, prioritizing the most underserved and hard-to-reach communities while carefully monitoring road conditions and ongoing aftershocks.

Every installation, every partnership, and every liter of safe water delivered brings hope to families working to recover from this disaster.
