💧 Eight SmartAid UltraFilter units arrived today! 💧

A generous gift from our valued partner, Disaster Aid Australia, these eight units will strengthen our capacity to bring safe drinking water to communities and children who need it most—especially in times of disaster and emergency.

We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the trust behind this generous contribution.

Together, we move closer to fulfilling our shared vision of Safe Water for Every Child—one community, one school, and one drop of clean water at a time. 💙💧

Thank you, Disaster Aid Australia, for helping us turn this vision into reality.

💧 Listening to Our Communities, Keeping Safe Water Flowing

17 September 2026 | Cagayan de Oro City

The Rotary Club of West Cagayan de Oro and Safe Water for Every Child – Philippines (SWFEC-Ph) team visited three SkyHydrant Max sites under Rotary International Global Grant GG1753140.

More than checking equipment, the visit was about listening to the people who use, care for, and understand these systems best—the communities themselves. ❤️

🔹 Barangay Pigsag-an
Community leaders shared that the unit is currently unused because of limited water supply. Together, they agreed to have it checked and reconditioned, then relocated to the public school to benefit more children.

🔹 Brgy. Mambuaya
The Cooperative shared that the community now has Level III water supply. In response, the SkyHydrant will be reconditioned and transferred to their CocoSugar Production Area, where it can continue to serve a need.

🔹 Brgy. FS Catanico
The local operator confirmed that the unit remains functional and in use. The community identified needed repairs and improvements, including replacement of accessories, repainting, and raising the floor.

Because sustainable solutions begin with community voices, shared responsibility, and action. 💧🤝❤️

Safe Water for Every Child–Philippines (SWFEC-Ph) is deeply grateful for the trust, solidarity, and steadfast accompaniment of IDEALS, Inc. throughout our Sarangani Earthquake Emergency Response.

An evening of fellowship with IDEALS, Inc. Executive Director Egad Ligon, Jericho Vila, and our Safe Water Action Volunteers—Marlon, Franco, Mitch, Donna, Toni, and Kaloy—was a welcome opportunity to celebrate not only what we have accomplished together, but also the shared conviction that safe drinking water is not a privilege—it is a basic human right.

Bangsamoro Emergency Flood Response Update – Barangay Kabasalan, Ligawasan

As of today, internally displaced persons (IDPs) remain on the d**e, where they have taken temporary shelter due to the persistently high floodwaters. Flooding continues to affect Barangay Kabasalan, and residents are still struggling with its devastating impact.

The high water levels have prevented displaced families from safely returning to their homes. Many continue to endure difficult living conditions, with limited access to safe drinking water, food, sanitation, and other basic necessities. For children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, each passing day of displacement increases their vulnerability.

Safe Water for Every Child – Philippines remains on the ground, working with local authorities and community partners to ensure that affected families have continued access to safe drinking water and other life-saving assistance. However, the needs remain significant, and your support can make a real difference.

We appeal to individuals, organizations, and friends of the humanitarian community to help us sustain this emergency response. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps provide safe drinking water and other essential relief to families affected by the floods.

Exploring new partnership opportunities to bring safe drinking water closer to the communities that need it most.

A meaningful and hopeful breakfast conversation with Mindanao NGO icon Dodoy Magdolot, Chairman of the Mahintana Foundation, among others on how collaboration can help ensure that more families—especially children in vulnerable communities—have access to safe, life-saving drinking water.

Together, we can turn shared vision into lasting impact.

BANGSAMORO FLOOD EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Update from the Flooded Plain
July 29, 2026

Safe Water for Every Child – Philippines (SWFEC-Ph) has successfully deployed one (1) Multi-Station Water Ultrafiltration Unit in Barangay Kabasalan, Special Geographic Area (SGA), Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to provide flood-affected families with access to safe drinking water.

WE NEED TO DEPLOY MORE.

Barangay Kabasalan remains heavily inundated. Large portions of the community are still under water, and several roads have become impassable due to the continuing floods. While some residents are still able to draw water from deep wells, many traditional water sources have been contaminated or rendered unsafe by the floodwaters.

If you would like to support this humanitarian response, donations may be sent directly to any of the SWFEC-Ph bank accounts below:
