FREE ONLINE EVENT: AWARD-WINNING REFORESTATION METHODOLOGY AND SUSTAINABLE FARMING PRACTICES
Studies show that the Philippines now only has 1% primary forests left. Bukidnon, Mindanao is home to one of the last remaining primary forests and our watersheds are fast depleting. We need to bring attention back to PROPER REFORESTATION and SUSTAINABLE FARMING PRACTICES.
Our speakers, James Tuason - Head of Reforestation Program, Hineleban Foundation and Waway Saway - of the Talaandig Tribe and Head of Family Food Security Cycle Program, Hineleban Foundation, will share their award-winning reforestation methodology in the hope that this can be replicated across the country (very helpful for schools and organizations that want to conduct tree planting activities). They will also discuss how we can also help protect the indigenous peoples communities that live within these remaining forests and share tips on organic farming.
There will be a Q&A portion. Kindly follow our page and send your questions in advance or you can also post them during the live event.
