A student-led project focused on implementing projects for the indigenous peoples (IP) of Barangay Leong, Cabatuan, Iloilo.

As the school year comes to an end, Project IGDAMPIG would like to look back on the past months with the Tribal Leong Organization Ati Development.

In the last few months of the project, the group held English reading classes with the elementary students of TLOAD. The group was also able to create a product to help the community in cutting the leaves used in their livelihood products. Donations such as clothes, toys, and school supply kits were also given for the culmination of the project.

This organization would like to extend their gratitude to the people involved in this project and who have made this project possible. Our utmost gratitude for the TLOAD Community for welcoming us in your community for the four months of our project implementation.

𝑴𝑨𝑺 𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑻𝑨𝑺 𝑷𝑨𝑮 𝑴𝑨𝒀 𝑨𝑳𝑨𝑴!

Last Saturday, February 8, Project IGDAMPIG, along with the Tribal Leong Organization for Ati Development (TLOAD) and the Cabatuan MDRRMO, set the first phase of their initiative in motion.

In line with the Philippines being prone to natural hazard and calamities, the organization invited speakers from the Cabatuan MDRRMO to talk about basic emergency preparedness and basic first aid to the people of TLOAD.

The organization would like to extend their gratitude to the Cabatuan MDRRMO for sharing their knowledge and skills to both us and the people of TLOAD, creating a safer Philippines, one step at a time. 🤍

Igdámpig --- 'to help,' exactly what we aim to do. The IGDAMPIG Community Project, led by PSHS-WVC Grade 12 students, is dedicated to supporting the TLOAD Ati community in Brgy. Leong, Cabatuan, Iloilo. From January to May, we are working hand-in-hand to address environmental, educational, and livelihood challenges while celebrating their rich cultural heritage.

The TLOAD Ati community in Brgy. Leong, Cabatuan, Iloilo, is facing critical challenges. A newly started quarry project near their residence has brought noise, dust pollution, and increased vulnerability to calamities like typhoons due to decreased tree cover.

Through the Igdampig Community Project, we are committed to:
