Did you know? According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1 million sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are acquired every day worldwide. Many cases show no symptoms, which is why awareness, regular check-ups, consent, and protection are important.

Choosing safe and responsible decisions helps protect not only your health, but also your future. Stay informed. Stay protected.

Knowledge is Protection 🩺

Getting tested for HIV is a responsible step toward protecting your health and the health of others. Many people are unaware that HIV testing services are available for free, making it more accessible for everyone to know their status without fear or hesitation. Early testing and awareness help reduce stigma, encourage prevention, and promote a healthier community for all.

Know the Risks, Protect Yourself

Understanding who is most at risk for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) is an important step toward prevention and protection. Risk increases with unprotected sexual activity, multiple partners, or unsafe practices such as sharing needles. In the Philippines, common infections like HIV, syphilis, HPV, and herpes continue to affect many individuals. By staying informed, practicing safe behaviors, and seeking proper healthcare, we can reduce risks and promote a healthier community.

The Reproductive Health Law protects the sexual and reproductive health rights of every Filipino by promoting access to accurate information, healthcare services, and informed decision-making. It empowers individuals to make responsible choices about their reproductive health without fear of judgment or discrimination. By raising awareness about rights, protection, and prevention, this law supports safer communities and encourages respect for personal health and well-being.

Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters in Every Emergency

Even during disasters and crises, access to sexual and reproductive health services remains essential. Health workers and responders continue to provide care that protects the well-being, dignity, and safety of communities. Strengthening preparedness through proper training ensures that vital services—including mental health support, family planning, STI prevention, and protection against gender-based violence—remain accessible when they are needed most. Through awareness and coordinated action, communities become more resilient in times of emergency.

Awareness leads to prevention, prevention leads to protection, and protection leads to confidence. By encouraging open discussions and sharing reliable information, we help remove stigma and replace it with understanding and support. Everyone deserves access to knowledge, guidance, and a safe space to make responsible decisions about their health.

Let’s continue building a culture where asking, learning, and caring for ourselves is celebrated—not judged. Your future matters, and every step toward awareness is a step toward a healthier and more empowered generation. 💗🎀
