The Serbisyo Caravan was successfully conducted earlier today at Sitio Agpan, Barangay Imelda, Bunawan, Agusan Del Sur.

The activity was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of Bunawan, led by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Sylvia B. Elorde, with the full support of the Sangguniang Bayan Members under the leadership of our Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Ednard Gil B. Elorde, in partnership also with the Barangay Officials.

The residents expressed their heartfelt appreciation for bringing essential government services closer to their communities. Among the services provided were medical check-ups, social welfare assistance, agricultural support, and other essential services.

Through this initiative, the Local Government Unit continues to bring accessible, responsive, and meaningful public service directly to the people.

3rd 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝑱𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈

The 3rd Quarterly Joint Local Health Board and Municipal Nutrition Committee Meeting was successfully conducted at the Municipal Function Hall, presided over by Municipal Mayor Hon. Sylvia B. Elorde along with Municipal Administrator Mr. Marvin B. Mique.

The meeting brought together Barangay Chairpersons, representatives from the PDOHO, RHU staff, and various municipal departments, demonstrating a shared commitment to strengthening local health and nutrition programs and ensuring the delivery of responsive and quality services to the community.

The joint meeting served as a venue for collaboration, coordination, strategic planning, and informed decision-making among local government officials, healthcare workers, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. Through strengthened partnerships and collective action, the municipality continues to advance initiatives that promote accessible, quality, equitable, and sustainable health and nutrition services for all residents.

Together, we continue to work towards a healthier, well-nourished, and more resilient community.

Today, September 29, 2026, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Agusan del Sur officially declares a Province-Wide Dengue Outbreak due to the increasing number of dengue cases, hospitalizations, severe cases, and reported deaths in the province.

In coordination with DOH–CHD Caraga, local government units, health facilities, and partners, intensified dengue surveillance, case investigation, vector control, community mobilization, and risk communication activities are being implemented to strengthen our collective response.

Let us all do our part to prevent dengue! Follow the 4S Strategy:

🔹 Search and Destroy mosquito breeding sites
🔹 Secure Self-Protection measures against mosquito bites
🔹 Seek Early Consultation for warning signs and symptoms
🔹 Support Fogging/Spraying in identified hotspot areas when indicated

Let us keep our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities clean and free from mosquito breeding sites. Early consultation and timely medical care can help prevent severe dengue.
