On the final day of camp, I woke up at 5:33 a.m. to take a shower and spend time with God through my quiet time. Shortly afterward, the bell rang, signaling that it was time for breakfast.

Before heading to the mess hall, I was called to participate in a video interview. I was asked about the highlight of the camp and what impacted me the most during my stay. It was a great opportunity to reflect on everything God had done throughout the week.

During breakfast, I enjoyed spending time with my fellow campers. To my surprise, everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me! It made me feel so loved and appreciated. It was truly a special moment that made my day even more memorable.

After breakfast, we completed our work assignment and spent time affirming one another. We then returned to our cabin to pack our things. As I packed, I also continued writing my testimony about God's faithfulness and goodness throughout the camp. I reflected on the lessons I learned, especially the challenge to be salt and light in our campuses, churches, friendships, and communities.

When the bell rang again, we gathered for lunch. During our final meal together, I had meaningful conversations with my small group members. I distributed bookmarks as tokens, hoping they would always be reminded of God's Word. We exchanged heartfelt messages, expressed our appreciation for one another, and took pictures together to remember the wonderful memories we had shared.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the testimony-sharing session. Listening to the stories of my fellow campers inspired me to continue following God, obeying His will, and growing in patience and faith. It was amazing to see how God had been working uniquely in each person's life. Our counselors and fellow campers also prayed for us, which was both encouraging and uplifting.

After everyone had shared their testimonies, we returned to our cabins to finish packing. Later, we gathered once again in the session hall for the culmination program. Some campers from other small groups even gave me tokens, which made me feel blessed and grateful for the friendships formed during camp.

We ended our time together by praising and worshiping our living God. We also watched a video featuring highlights and memorable moments from the camp. As the program came to a close, it was finally time to say goodbye. Although it was difficult to part ways, I left the camp with a grateful heart, precious memories, new friendships, and a deeper desire to know and serve God. I thank Him for this unforgettable experience and pray that the lessons I learned will continue to shape my life long after the camp has ended.

On the fifth day of camp, I first praised and thanked God for His faithfulness, love, and goodness. I am grateful because He gave me another day and another opportunity to know Him more and learn from Him.

I started my day with Quiet Time, and one thing I realized is that I need to let my light shine so that others may see Jesus in my life and glorify God. Throughout the day, I also learned how to show respect, understanding, and compassion toward people in the LGBTQIA+ community. I was reminded that I, too, am a sinner who is loved by God. Since I am saved by God's grace and not by my own good works, I have no right to judge others. Instead, I am called to love them, pray for them, and point them to Christ.

As salt and light of the world, I learned that I am called to pray for all people and faithfully share the Word of God. I also realized that I need to grow in leading others and teaching God's Word. As I studied our assigned passage, God gave me wisdom, courage, and joy. Through that study, I learned that Jesus is the true source of light.

Another lesson I learned is that being salt and light sometimes means lovingly correcting fellow Christians when they are walking in sin. This is not to condemn them, but to help them overcome their struggles and continue growing in their relationship with God. True love speaks the truth with grace and humility.

In addition, I was reminded that God is continually changing me every day. Spiritual growth is a process, and God patiently works in my life. Jesus always welcomes me with open arms and invites me to surrender everything to Him. Because He is an omniscient God, He already knows everything about my lifeโ€”my strengths, weaknesses, struggles, and victories. Knowing this gives me confidence to trust Him more and surrender my life completely to His will.

On the fourth day of DLTC, the day was filled with growth and meaningful experiences. I started the day with my quiet time and later shared insights with my small group. It was encouraging to hear their testimonies and learn how they came to know Christ and how God has been faithfully working in their lives.
Before entering the mess hall, we recited our memory verse, Ephesians 5:8โ€“10, which reminded us to live as children of light and seek what pleases the Lord.

During the session, Pastor Jonathan O. Ubanan taught about The Lordship of Christ. I gained a deeper understanding that Christ is Lord over all creation, that His Lordship requires total surrender, and that His Lordship produces a transformed life. This challenged me to submit every area of my life to Him.

I also had the opportunity to practice leading a Bible study through the Manuscript Bible Study Workshop. Although it felt challenging at first, it was an enjoyable experience that gave me valuable insights into guiding others through God's Word.

Another highlight of the day was the session on The Role of the Church in Missions by Ate Chelcea Canonigo. I was introduced to the Five Thresholdsโ€”Trust, Curious, Open, Seeking, and Followingโ€”which helped prepare us for Mission Night.

During Mission Night, I experienced firsthand how to engage with people from different cultures, beliefs, and personalities. This gave me a better understanding of how to build connections and share the gospel effectively. It also made me excited to apply these lessons on our campuses.

Overall, Day Four was a meaningful day of spiritual growth, ministry training, and encouragement.

Yesterday was the third day of DLTC. We started our day with the Word of God through our Quiet Time. It was a great way to begin the day and prepare our hearts for the activities ahead. After that, we had breakfast at 7:00 a.m. to fuel us for the rest of the day.

Later in the morning, Kuya Eli taught us about the Authority of Scripture. My groupmates selected me to share our discussion topic, which focused on the second reason for believing the Bibleโ€”its indestructibility. It was a great experience to learn more deeply about the reliability and authority of God's Word. Despite countless attempts throughout history to destroy or discredit the Bible, it continues to endure and transform lives.

After the session on Scripture, we moved on to our MBS (Manuscript Bible Study). We studied and analyzed Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Although there was a lot to read and examine, it was an enjoyable and meaningful experience to dig deeper into God's Word together. We were not able to finish the study, but we will continue it tomorrow.

In the afternoon, we had our recreation time. It was fun to be grouped with different people and enjoy the various activities together. We shared many laughs and created wonderful memories, but we also learned valuable lessons from each station. Unity, teamwork, trust, and surrounding ourselves with fellow Christians were some of the important lessons we gained during the recreation.

It was a tiring and physically draining day, but my heart is full of gratitude. I feel blessed to experience everything that happened today. As I look forward to the remaining days of camp, I pray that we will continue to grow deeper in our relationship with God and gain a greater understanding of His Word.

On the second day of DLTC, we woke up at 5:30 a.m. to prepare for the "Harana" for the ladies staying across from our cabin. It was an amazing experience for me because it was my first time participating in this activity. Afterward, we enjoyed breakfast together with our new friends at the Mess Hall.

After breakfast, my small group worked together on our assigned task: cleaning the comfort rooms. We then proceeded to the second session, where Pastor Jonathan taught about the Trinity.

There were three main points that I learned from the session:

There is only one God.
There are three united Persons in the Trinity.
There are three distinct Persons in the Trinity.

One of the highlights of the session for me was learning that we are connected with God through the Holy Spirit and that believers are invited into the divine fellowship shared among the three Persons of the Trinity. I also learned that there are many incorrect interpretations and false teachings about the Trinity, making it important to understand this doctrine correctly according to Scripture.

Later that day, we prepared for the banquet night, which was an exciting and enjoyable event. We concluded the day with a meaningful cabin sharing, where we reflected on our experiences and lessons learned. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, service, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

Dyvid Ebit from IVYACF, ESSU Maydolong shared:

"My nervousness instantly vanished because of the staff and counselors' warm welcome and the song they sang. I realized that this DLTC would be fun, which made me even more excited. I met new friends and once again experienced a spiritual retreat, including the Monk Meal, where we ate in silence.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the GTKY (Getting to Know You) session, where I met people from different areas such as Cebu, Negros Oriental, Leyte, and Biliran, as well as two international students from Nigeria. I also enjoyed spending time with my small group members. We got to know one another, bonded together, and shared our expectations for the camp.

I enjoyed every moment of the experience and praised God for this opportunity. Through this training, I hope to grow as a more effective leader and to develop greater humility as I serve God."

Thank you for keeping them in your prayers! ๐Ÿ™

The student leaders from the Eastern Samar area, representing different chapters, gathered last April 24โ€“25, 2026, in Borongan City for their annual leadersโ€™ retreat. It was a deep and meaningful time of spiritual retreat and small group sharing.
