Last December 3, 2025, we hosted the Bohol Local Climate Accountability Forum, bringing together community members, youth leaders, policymakers, and advocates to discuss the realities of climate action in our area.

The forum was a space to share experiences, raise concerns, and contribute ideas directly from those affected by climate impacts. Participants actively shaped a community manifesto, highlighting what accountability should look like and how decision-makers can follow through.

Weโ€™re grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and engaged! Your voices are the heart of real change.

This forum is just the start of a movement for real, transparent, and accountable climate action in Bohol, powered by the people it affects most. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ช

LOOK: A supertyphoon Odette survivor joined climate activists in Brazil, where the global climate meeting is being held, to reveal the massive Pollutersโ€™ Climate Bill.๐Ÿงพ
Trixy Elle also brings with her the calls of fellow Filipino communities who are tired of facing the worsening impacts of the climate crisis, including repeated and devastating floods.
The bill highlights the estimated US$5 trillion (PHP 290 trillion) in economic damages caused by fossil fuel companies around the world over the past decade through business practices that worsen the climate crisis.
Their message to world leaders: Protect our communities, ! โœŠ

๐ŸšจBREAKING: Filipino climate survivors are suing SHELL.๐Ÿšจ

With the help of activists in London, they delivered a notice to Shell's global headquarters stating that they are taking the company to court for the loss and damages caused by its business.

Shell has known since 1965 about the climate crisis and its own role in worsening it, yet it chose to continue investing in fossil fuels and deceit instead of protecting people and the planet.

Along with the delivery, recordings of voices from the frontlines were played - voices of communities sharing their stories and messages to Shell.

From sinking islands to flood-hit towns, Filipino climate survivors are rising. Theyโ€™ve had enough of corruption in climate funds at home and the greed of big polluters globally. Theyโ€™re standing up to make corporations like Shell pay.

๐Ÿšจ BREAKING: Filipino climate survivors and activists just dropped a $5-trillion โ€œPolluterโ€™s Climate Billโ€ calling out the biggest oil and gas companies that keep fueling the climate crisis.

From Bohol to Eastern Samar to Marikina to other climate-impacted communities, climate survivors who lost their homes to floods and typhoons gathered outside the meeting of the Fund Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD)โ€”the United Nationsโ€™ fund meant to help countries like the Philippines recover from climate disasters.

Their message is clear: while the rich and powerful keep getting richer, ordinary Filipinos are left picking up the pieces.

Greed has already cost us too muchโ€”our homes, our safety, our future. Itโ€™s time to make polluters pay.

๐ŸšจBREAKING: Greenpeace activists unfurled a banner on the opening day of the international forum in Cebu discussing the fund for loss and damage.

We are calling on Pres. Marcos Jr. to take bold climate leadership and make climate polluters (oil, coal, and gas companies) pay for the losses and damages suffered by communities due to the climate crisis.

While rich countries and companies most responsible for the climate crisis continue to profit, they have yet to pay for the harm theyโ€™ve caused to frontline communities, including the Philippines.

This injustice must not continue. !

Whose stories are told and whose are left unheard?

In this Edition of ORIGINS, we follow the journeys of q***r environmental advocates across the Philippines. These are stories of courage, loss, leadership, and loveโ€”lived in the context of climate disasters and in the quiet acts of everyday resistance.

Discover the people behind the headlines and the ones who never stopped showing up.

๐ŸŒŠKaunting ulan pa lang, bumabaha na sa ilang lugar. Pero paano kung may mga komunidad sa Pilipinas kung saan naging normal na ang baha?

Imagine a child growing up thinking that a flooded classroom is just part of school life. That isnโ€™t resilience; that is adaptation forced by neglect.

Real progress toward climate justice is possible if we are willing to think differently, build differently, and finally, LISTEN.
