Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Alhamdulillah! On October 9, 2025, a remarkable event took place for the Muslim community of Bohol — the formal turnover of the Muslim Public Cemetery situated in Barangay Subayon, Bilar. The ceremonial turnover, held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, signifies a historic milestone in our collective pursuit of recognition, dignity, and inclusion for the Muslim constituents of the province.
As the President of the Bohol Muslim Community Peace Movement, Inc. (BMC-PeM Inc.), I had the distinct honor of leading this initiative with the support of the Office of Muslim Affairs, which came to fruition through the unwavering support and commitment of the Provincial Government of Bohol, under the capable leadership of Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado. This project stands as a testament to the provincial government’s genuine regard for diversity, harmony, and good governance.
On behalf of the organization and the entire Muslim community of Bohol, I wish to extend my profound gratitude and appreciation to the following officials and offices for their invaluable support and presence during the ceremony:
Hon. Erico Aris Aumentado, Provincial Governor
Hon. Nick Sarabia Besas, Vice Governor
Hon. Jamie Aumentado Villamor, SP Resolution Co-Author
Hon. Lawrence Ancla, Committee Chair on Culture and Arts
Atty. Handel Lagunay, Provincial Legal Officer
Mr. Metodio Maraguinot, Jr., Supervising Administrative Officer
Mr. Emerson Pinos, OIC, Center for Culture and Arts Development
PLT. DUNHILL M SARMIENTO with the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO)
and the Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Your partnership and steadfast support have been invaluable in realizing this long-awaited initiative for our community. May Allah (S.W.T) reward your dedication and bless our continued efforts toward unity and progress.
