Alhamdulillah! On October 9, 2025, a remarkable event took place for the Muslim community of Bohol — the formal turnover of the Muslim Public Cemetery situated in Barangay Subayon, Bilar. The ceremonial turnover, held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, signifies a historic milestone in our collective pursuit of recognition, dignity, and inclusion for the Muslim constituents of the province.

As the President of the Bohol Muslim Community Peace Movement, Inc. (BMC-PeM Inc.), I had the distinct honor of leading this initiative with the support of the Office of Muslim Affairs, which came to fruition through the unwavering support and commitment of the Provincial Government of Bohol, under the capable leadership of Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado. This project stands as a testament to the provincial government’s genuine regard for diversity, harmony, and good governance.

On behalf of the organization and the entire Muslim community of Bohol, I wish to extend my profound gratitude and appreciation to the following officials and offices for their invaluable support and presence during the ceremony:

Today, on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟴, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 marked a momentous occasion for the 𝐁𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐜. as President Hadji Hasheem 'Taha' Malabi, Ustad Suhayli G**o, Ustad Salih, Nasrodin Cosain, and Dino Sacar extended its embrace to our beloved brothers and sisters in 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗸 𝟯, 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻, 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹.

The community extended a gracious invitation, seeking our presence and the guidance of a knowledgeable Ustad for the Jummah Prayer. In response, our esteemed Ustad Suhayli G**o, joined the heartfelt request to grace the sacred Jummah Prayer.

In a heartwarming display of solidarity, the 𝐁𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐜. visited and shared this blessed occasion, resonating with the spirit of togetherness and devotion. During this special gathering, individuals from the community of 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗸 𝟯, 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻, 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 expressed their interest and applied to join the 𝗕𝗠𝗖-𝗣𝗲𝗠 𝗜𝗻𝗰., embodying our shared commitment to peace, understanding, and harmony.

This harmonious convergence not only reinforced our bond as a Muslim Community but also exemplified the principles we uphold—striving for peace and fostering kinship. We are honored to welcome new members into our fold, nurturing a community dedicated to promoting peace in every facet of life.

Through shared prayers and shared aspirations, we take another step forward in our collective journey towards building a world where unity prevails, transcending boundaries of faith and background. Together, we stand stronger, together, we advocate for peace.

Six years ago, a vision took root—a vision of unity, progress, and unwavering solidarity within the Bohol Muslim Community - Peace Movement Inc. Today, as we mark this auspicious milestone, we extend our deepest gratitude to every corner of our community, to each of the 10 participating communities who have been the pillars of our journey, and to our distinguished guests whose presence graced our General Assembly Meeting with wisdom and insight.

We express our heartfelt appreciation to the Philippine Army's 47 Infantry Battalion, represented by LT Sarip, the Department of Social Welfare and Development represented by Christopher Añana, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Department of Agriculture for gracing our assembly with their invaluable presence. Their unwavering support and shared commitment to progress have been invaluable in shaping our collective endeavors.

The success of this gathering would not have been possible without the steadfast support and guidance of our incredible facilitators: PLT Dunhill Sarmiento from the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) and Ma'am Maria Berlin from the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWD). Their tireless dedication and commitment to nurturing understanding and cooperation within our community have been the bedrock of our progress.

As we stand here, celebrating this milestone, let us not just reflect on the past six years but look ahead with hope and determination. Let's reaffirm our commitment to fostering unity amidst diversity, to building bridges that span differences, and to forging a future that is inclusive and harmonious for all.

Alhamdulillah for having a successful BMC-PeM Inc. Special Meeting called by the OPSWD and Maam Maria Berlin on
August 17, 2023 - 9AM at the Office of Muslim Affairs together with the 9 Muslim Communities representative. On this day, we have successfully selected 18 persons who will undergo the Halal Training. We witnessed the successful Financial turn-over of former treasurer Mr. Acmad Camarines to the New Treasurer Mr. Acmad Maruhom.
