PROJECT ABC AT BRGY. BOTOC ORIENTAL, LOAY, BOHOL
Last December 30, 2025, we visited another community of children in Bohol at Brgy. Botoc Oriental, Loay.
It was a day of reading, painting, and a little bit of dancing. The program started with a prayer by one of the kids, then we introduced our organization, especially our purpose. More importantly, we encouraged them to read and to ask their parent/guardian to also read to them. And since there were parents around, we emphasized the importance of reading to kids.
We read aloud our big book to the kids which stirred their reading comprehension and math skills. We also gave out special gifts to those who were able to answer our questions, had a unique coffee painting session, and had our hand-tracing activity. Finally, we gave out our storybook kits with bilingual storybooks (English and Filipino).
We are very grateful to those who help us carry out our purpose, to those who believe in what we do, and to those who support the kids' future. To our donors, contributors, volunteers, barangay officials, the kids and their parents/guardians, and the rest of the team who make every event successful, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
We may still have a long way to go but we will gladly take on that journey. Until then, join us and let's build more reading communities!💜
