📣The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), under the leadership of Ms. Marianelli O. Buno, RPm, together with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Talibon headed by Mr. Frix T. Libres, and the Talibon Youth Development Council (TYDC) officials and members, worked hand in hand to ensure that the 2nd Municipal Linggo ng Kabataan celebration was both meaningful and memorable for all participants.

We sincerely thank the generous sponsors who supported this significant event. Your contributions played a vital role in its overall success and made it possible for us to achieve our goals. Your financial assistance allowed us to implement activities that empowered the youth, encouraged participation, and fostered camaraderie among the young people of our municipality.

[2025 BOHOLYMPICS - FUTSAL]

The Futsal competition of the 2025 Boholympics was held on August 23-24, 2025, at Don Cecilio Putong National High School. This exciting event brought together young athletes from various municipalities across the province to compete and showcase their skills in one of the most dynamic sports of the games—Futsal.

The Municipality of Talibon proudly participated in this year’s Boholympics, sending talented youth athletes to represent the town in multiple sporting events. Among these was the Futsal category, where our young players gave their best on the court, demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

In the Futsal U15 division, Talibon emerged victorious with a Bronze Medal finish, a remarkable achievement for the team and a testament to their hard work and determination. Meanwhile, the Futsal U17 team secured 4th Place, putting up a strong fight and making the municipality proud with their commendable performance.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Janette A. Garcia, LLB, for her unwavering support of the local sports program. Our thanks also go to the Local Youth Development Office led by Ms. Marianelli O. Buno, RPm, as well as the dedicated coaches and delegation officials who have played an essential role in guiding and supporting our young athletes.

The accomplishments of our Futsal teams at the 2025 Boholympics not only bring pride to Talibon but also inspire the next generation of athletes in our community. Congratulations to all the players and supporters, your efforts and dedication truly made a difference!

Celebrating the spirit of learning, teamwork, and youthful excellence. The Youth Quiz brought together bright and talented young minds who showcased not only their knowledge but also their passion, determination, and camaraderie. Every participant demonstrated that learning can be both fun and rewarding, with every answer reflecting dedication and thorough preparation. Congratulations to the winners and heartfelt applause to all participants who showed that true success lies in the courage to join, the effort to prepare, and the willingness to grow. This event was more than just a competition — it was a celebration of the future, reminding us that our youth are the hope and leaders of tomorrow.

It's going to be an action-packed event you won't want to miss!

📣📣📣SPORTS WRITING CONTEST ✍️

In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, with the theme “Local Youth Actions for Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond,” the Sports Writing Contest was successfully held at the Alturas Atrium, Poblacion, Talibon, Bohol. This event provided a platform for young writers to showcase their talents by composing sports articles centered on the theme “Championship Title.”

This activity would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Janette A. Garcia, LLB, whose commitment to youth empowerment continues to inspire the community. Special thanks also go to our Local Youth Development Officer, Ms. Marianelli O. Buno, RPm, and SK Federated President, Hon. Frix T. Libres, for their active involvement in organizing and promoting youth-centered programs.

The Talibon Youth Development Council (TYDC) officials and members, together with the working committees, played a vital role in the success of this event. Gratitude is also extended to all SK Chairpersons from the different barangays who supported the contest by sending representatives to compete in the writing competition.

Most importantly, sincere appreciation goes to our panel of judges who dedicated their time and expertise in evaluating the participants' work. Their careful assessment ensured that deserving winners were recognized for their skill, creativity, and journalistic ability.

BADMINTON TOURNAMENT (MIXED DOUBLES)

In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan, a Badminton Tournament (Mixed Doubles) was held at the Alturas Atrium, Poblacion, Talibon, Bohol. The event brought together enthusiastic and talented youth representatives from various barangays who actively participated in the competition.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Janette A. Garcia, LLB, for her unwavering and continuous support for the youth of Talibon. Our sincere thanks also go to the Local Youth Development Officer, Ms. Marianelli O. Buno, RPm, and the SK Federated President, Hon. Frix T. Libres, for their joint efforts in organizing activities that allow young people to enjoy, participate, and showcase their skills and potential through sports.

We likewise recognize the invaluable contribution of the Talibon Youth Development Council officials and members for their dedication in ensuring the smooth facilitation and success of the tournament. Appreciation is also given to the various working committees, and most especially to the SK Chairpersons from the different barangays, for their commitment in sending their best male and female representatives to compete in the tournament.

After a series of competitive and thrilling matches, the tournament has officially concluded. We are pleased to announce the winners:
