Today, we commemorate the 𝟏𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲, honoring the life, works, and ultimate sacrifice of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

​More than a century later, his vision for the Philippines continues to challenge and inspire us. Rizal didn’t just dream of a free nation; he believed in a nation driven by intellect, compassion, and purpose.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲
​Rizal famously reminded us:
​"𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝒌𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒈-𝒂𝒔𝒂 𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏."
(The youth are the hope of the fatherland.)
​This isn't just a catchy phrase—it is a 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. It serves as a reminder that the future of our country lies in the hands of the next generation. It is a plea for the youth to remain curious, stay principled, and take an active role in shaping a society built on justice and progress.

​𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐖𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲
𝑩𝒚 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆: Valuing education as a tool for liberation.
𝑩𝒚 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆: Standing up for what is right, even when it is difficult.
𝑩𝒚 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔: Placing the needs of the community above personal gain.

​As we remember his martyrdom at Bagumbayan, let us ask ourselves: How are we living out his ideals today? Let us be the "hope" he envisioned. 🇵🇭

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭👫♾️

The 1st Bindoy Youth Leadership Summit 2025 was a transformative two-day journey designed to empower the next generation of leaders in Negros Oriental.

𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝟏: 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏
The summit opened with a focus on engagement and collaboration. Participants were introduced to the core principles of leadership, fostering a sense of camaraderie and setting a proactive tone for the learning ahead.

𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝟐: 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆
The final day shifted toward personal growth and community responsibility. The youth reflected on their roles in nation-building, culminating in a graduation ceremony that celebrated their readiness to serve as catalysts for peace and unity.
