Demonstrating its continued commitment to youth empowerment and collaborative governance, KHALEESI+ participated in the 3rd Quarter Meeting of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) of Almeria, represented by Ms. Margarette Anne Edicto and Mr. Arlo Millang.

The meeting centered on updates regarding the compliance of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) across the municipality, as well as the planning and preparations for the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan celebration.

As a committed member of the Local Youth Development Council and a steadfast advocate for youth development, KHALEESI+ remains dedicated to working alongside the local government, SK officials, and fellow youth-serving organizations in advancing programs and initiatives that empower young people and contribute to the continuous progress of the Municipality of Almeria.

Concluding this year’s training program with prestige and pride, young participants and trainers from Sports, Journalism, and Performing Arts categories were formally recognized during the Almeria Summer Clinic 2026 Awarding and Closing Ceremony, held at the Almeria Gymnasium on June 1.

Said ceremony aims to express appreciation to all trainers who have guided the young participants throughout the training and to recognize the overall growth of our athletes, journalists, and performers.

In her welcome remarks, Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria B. Sale emphasized the importance of events like the Almeria Summer Clinic in nurturing the youth and developing future athletes, journalists, and performers.

“This event is a testament to our commitment to nurturing the skills and talents of our youth in Almeria, hoping that this will help them achieve their dreams of reaching greater heights. This training will hone them as well to become future mentors of the next generation,” Hon. Sale said.

Meanwhile, the dance and music participants showcased their skills and improvement in dancing and singing through a recital during the event. The Dance Team grooved and swayed with their Hip-Hop performance, while the Music Team gave chills to the audience with their rendition of “Heal the World.”

Following the recital, tournament winners and awardees from all categories were recognized. In addition, special commendations were also given to participants, along with their certificates of participation and completion.

Moreover, Hon. Christian A. Atibula, Municipal Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) president, expressed his appreciation to the organizers, participants, coaches, and parents for their unwavering support of the training program.

“I thank everyone who was behind the success of the event. May you continue to support this event next year, and we hope to train more youth in the future,” Hon. Atibula stated.

This year’s summer clinic, organized by the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) and KHALEESI+, marks the second edition of the training program after it was launched last year with sports and leadership training as its banner program.

As we concluded this year’s Almeria Summer Clinic, we express our sincerest gratitude to our participants, coaches, partners, parents, sponsors, and organizers for making this event a successful one. Moreso, we extend our deepest gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Almeria for supporting the event from the beginning until its conclusion.

The Almeria Summer Clinic 2026 has officially concluded today, and we are happy and proud of our young participants for making it through the training. Today, May 29, marks the last day of the intensive training of our young participants in Almeria Summer Clinic 2026, held at Almeria Gymnasium and Municipal Grounds.

More than 200 youth in Almeria joined the second edition of the training program, where we opened new categories aside from the Sports event, namely, Journalism and Performing Arts. This initiative stemmed from our goal to accommodate and empower our youth in different aspects in the span of two weeks.

Meanwhile, the summer clinic introduced our athletes, journalists, and performers to the fundamentals of their respective categories, provided in-depth, hands-on training, and immersed them in real-world practice and tournaments. Through this training format, our youth receive comprehensive training and are empowered to become the future jewels of the municipality.

The training program may have concluded today, but the fire within the hearts of our athletes, journalists, and performers for growth and development continues. We hope the training served as a stepping stone for your journey toward your dreams and goals.

We are down to the second-to-the-last day of the Almeria Summer Clinic 2026, and the energy is higher than ever! Today, May 28, the intense training and workshops paid off as thrilling sporting tournaments continued across all events at the Almeria Gymnasium.

Over in the journalism category, our elementary and high school participants jumped straight into the action with an immersive event coverage simulation—getting a real taste of fast-paced media work. The learning didn't stop there, as they wrapped up the morning with a valuable feedback and critiquing session led by The Pillar Publication’s Associate Editor.

The journey concludes tomorrow, May 29, for our final training day, followed by the grand Awarding and Closing Ceremony on Monday, June 1.

Young athletes, journalists, and performers geared up for Day 8 of Almeria Summer Clinic 2026 today, May 27. Held at the Almeria Gymnasium, Tabunan Covered Court, and Municipal Grounds, participants engaged in meaningful activities, sports tournaments, and intensive practice ahead of the nearing conclusion of the training event.

The coaches, trainers, and participants are keeping up with the training program, pushing for more advanced training, workshops, and activities, aiming to end the event with learning, growth, and development.

Tomorrow, May 28, marks the second-to-the-last day of the Almeria Summer Clinic 2026. The awarding and closing ceremony will take place on Monday, June 1, to recognize the organizers, coaches, and participants who excelled in their training.

As the Almeria Summer Clinic 2026 nears its conclusion, young athletes, journalists, and performers from the Municipality of Almeria continue to grind through Day 7 of the training program held at the Almeria Gymnasium, Tabunan Covered Court, and Municipal Grounds on May 26.

This week’s activities focus on tournament eliminations and championship matches, recital preparations for the music and dance categories, and journalism workshops in preparation for the final assessment on the last day of the Summer Clinic.

With only three days left before the closing ceremony, our young participants continue to work hard, train, and push themselves in their respective fields, aiming to conclude their Summer Clinic journey with growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

Starting the second week of the Summer Clinic with perseverance to grow, commitment to learn, and enthusiasm to develop in their fields, the youth participants of Almeria attended Day 6 of the Almeria Summer Clinic 2026, held at Almeria Gymnasium, Tabunan Covered Court, and the Municipal Grounds on May 25.

Accommodating more than 200 participants this year, the training program entered its second and final week of preparing young athletes, journalists, and performers. The Summer Clinic offered three categories—Sports, Journalism, and Arts— led by invited trainers and coaches who are experts in their fields.

As the final week begins and continues in the coming days, we look forward to seeing our participants improve and grow in their respective areas. Keep working, training, and building for your future, youth of Almeria!

This week was not just about skills training; it was about building confidence, learning teamwork, and finding confidence in every training session, workshop, and hands-on activity. The growth of our youth is evident as they head for the second week of the Almeria Summer Clinic, which will commence on May 25 at the same venues.
