Farmers are the backbone of our economy, and mental health exempts no profession, age, or gender. 🌾

“Without our farmers — our modern-day heroes — there would be no food on our tables.”

Today, at the Municipal Gymnasium of La Trinidad, Benguet, Miss Lovely Balanoy Bomowey (Echomind Chairperson and Miss Benguet 2024) continued to champion her advocacy beyond judging, hosting, panel discussions, and training pageant kings and queens. She walked further into the fields to connect with our farmers and share meaningful conversations on mental wellness.

She spoke about stress management and ways to maintain one’s well-being amidst inflation and the different crises affecting the country today. More than sharing knowledge, she also found herself deeply blessed by the participants’ openness and active sharing of their experiences.

What started as a simple open forum became a heartfelt exchange of testimonies, encouragement, and genuine human connection. 💚

LEADING WITH PURPOSE: Values, Mental Resilience and Effective Leadership

Echomind Chairperson Ms. Lovely Bomowey shared insights about Mental Health and Resilience as a Leader to the Student Leaders of Benguet State University - College of Numeracy and Applied Sciences.

She pointed out that:
- You can never pour from an empty cup
- Productivity is useless if it costs your mental and physical health.
- Mental Health isn’t learned by listening alone - it is practiced
- The most powerful leaders are not those who never break but those who know how to heal.

“Strength is not the absence of struggle, and healing is not weakness but courage in motion.”

Thus declared Mayor Benjamin Magalong in a social media post in honor of October as Mental Health Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“As we advocate for good governance, let us also remember that leadership is not only about accountability in service: it’s also about compassion for others and care for oneself,” he said.

“To everyone facing silent battles, whether it’s the weight of expectations, the fight against illness, or the daily pressure to stay strong, know this: you are not alone. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness; it is an act of bravery,” the Mayor added.

He is urging everyone to begin the week with empathy and resilience, check our mental health and those around us, support awareness, early detection, and compassion for breast cancer warriors, and lead with kindness because every heart we uplift strengthens our community.

Today’s community talk reminded us that healing knows no age. 💖 We were deeply moved by the active participation of our beloved senior citizens, whose heartfelt stories and wisdom filled the room with hope and connection.

Despite being a young speaker, Lovely Balanoy Bomowey, Miss Benguet 2024 and Founder of ECHOMIND, inspired everyone to listen with empathy and speak with kindness. Her message resonated across generations — proving that mental wellness truly unites us all. 🌈✨
