𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤! 🇵🇭✊🏼

Members of the Bayawan City Youth Development Council (BCYDC) attended the Visayas Leg of the Youth Constituency Building organized by the National Youth Commission (NYC), and held last April 27 and 28 in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The initiative sought to convene a network of various youth leaders coming from multi-sectoral organizations in the Visayas to be champions for inclusive governance, and strengthening existing partnerships with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) in implementing youth policies and programs at both the local and national level.

We look forward to sharing the proposed plans of the National Youth Commission to our youth organizations in Bayawan City 🙌🏼

The newly elected members of the 2023-2025 Bayawan City Youth Development Council (BCYDC) formally took their oath of office last December 4, 2023. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Bayawan City Mayor, Hon. Jack T. Raymond.

In his message, Mayor Jack Mayor Jack underscored the pivotal role of the youth in community-building, urging members of the BCYDC to actively contribute to the city's development.

We look forward to working with Mayor Jack and the Local Government Unit of Bayawan City in championing youth-centered policies and programs that are finely tuned to address the unique needs of the Bayawanon Youth. 🤝

The election was held last November 30, 2023, and was facilitated by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation - Bayawan City President, Hon. Edilbert Boltiador, together with the Local Youth Development Officer (LYDO) of Bayawan City, Mr. Ritchie Mortillero.

The BCYDC is composed of multi-sectoral local youth organizations, and will serve as the highest policy-making youth body in Bayawan City.
