🌈 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗶 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆
𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 — 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘖𝘯

In the face of silence and misunderstanding, a movement emerged — one rooted in dignity, courage, and the unwavering belief in the right of every individual to belong. Thus, Sanlahi was born — a name drawn from "Isang lahi" or "Iisang lahi", symbolizing unity, shared identity, and collective strength among the LGBTQIA+ students of Bauan Technical Integrated High School.

Sanlahi was not simply formed. It was founded — built with intention, conviction, and love.

We extend our highest honor and gratitude to Cyrus Gil Moron, the Founder of Sanlahi, whose vision gave rise to an inclusive space that embraced those who for too long were pushed to the margins. Siway’s leadership has been instrumental in transforming a reclaimed identity into a powerful declaration of pride.

Alongside them stood two esteemed co-founders whose contributions were equally foundational:

– Christian Harold Bagayawa, Pioneering President, whose steadfast leadership helped institutionalize the council’s values and principles in its formative days, and
– Aaron Paul Guinhawa, Pioneering Vice President, whose voice and conviction gave light to stories often left untold.

We likewise recognize our pioneer members, whose courage, support, and solidarity shaped Sanlahi’s identity and strengthened its foundation. Their collective efforts brought into existence an organization that today continues to inspire, uplift, and protect.

As we now enter a new era, we formally welcome Don Rymel Enriquez as the new President of Sanlahi. A dedicated advocate and student leader, Enriquez assumes this responsibility with a firm commitment to continue the council’s mission — to seek recognition not as a favor, but as a right; to further cultivate a culture of respect, and to lead with both humility and pride.

This leadership transition marks not a departure, but a continuation — a testament to the enduring spirit of Sanlahi, and the community that sustains it.

To those who led, to those who served, and to those who now carry the torch — your labor is honored, your voices are heard, and your legacy lives on.

Together, we transform. Together, we thrive.

Ano naman ang Gender Equity?
Kung ang equality ay pagbibigay ng pare-parehong oportunidad, ang equity naman ay pagbibigay ng makatarungan at naaangkop na tulong batay sa pangangailangan ng bawat isa.

Isipin mo 'to: Pareho kayong pinapasa ng baso ng tubig sa disyerto. Pero ‘yung isa, may thermos, at ‘yung isa uhaw na uhaw. Equity ang pagbibigay ng mas maraming tubig sa nangangailangan. Hindi pantay sa dami—pero patas sa konteksto.

⚖️ Sa eskwelahan, Gender Equity ay nangangahulugang:

Pag-aadjust ng school rules para isaalang-alang ang gender identity

Pagbibigay ng safe spaces para sa LGBTQIA+ students

Pag-unawa na ang “one-size-fits-all” ay hindi laging makatarungan

💡 Tandaan: Hindi mo matatawag na makatarungan ang isang sistema kung ang "pantay" ay para lang sa iilan.

🎤 Real Talk
Hindi lahat ng pagkakapantay ay patas. Sa usapin ng kasarian, mahalagang maunawaan na ang equity ay hindi favoritism—ito ay pagresponde sa totoong sitwasyon at hindi sa pantay lang sa papel.

💬 :
Kung ang equality ay pagbibigay ng pantay, ang equity ay pagbibigay ng angkop. Kasi hindi lahat ng estudyante pare-pareho ang laban—kaya hindi rin dapat pare-pareho lang ang tulong.

"UNFOLDING MYSELF"

When I was a kid, I didn’t know who or what I was. I experimented, explored, and got confused. Coming out as bisexual wasn’t easy—people judged me, assumed things, even relatives made me feel unwelcome. I isolated myself, thinking that was peace, but anxiety and depression hit me hard.

Then came people like Jerlyn and Cyrus—real friends who didn’t just accept me, but helped me accept myself. I realized I wasn’t bisexual—I was a feminine gay man. I embraced it, and it changed me. I chose myself. I kept saying, “dedma sa inyo.”

People still assume, stereotype, or even joke about who I am—but I won’t shrink myself for them. I embraced who I am not to be seen as pretty, but to show the beauty within.

If you’re not ready to come out, that’s okay. Kami ng mga ate’t kuya mo, we’ll guard the closet door for you. Knock lang kapag handa ka na.

Freedom is the oxygen of the soul—so breathe.

Ano nga ba ang Gender Equality?
Gender Equality means equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities para sa lahat ng kasarian—babae, lalaki, LGBTQIA+, at lahat ng nasa spectrum. Hindi ito tungkol sa pagiging magkakapareho, kundi sa pagkakaroon ng pantay na pagtrato anuman ang kasarian o gender identity mo.

⚖️ Sa eskwelahan, Gender Equality ay nangangahulugang:

Parehong respeto sa lahat ng estudyante

Pantay na oportunidad sa leadership, academics, at extracurriculars

Pagkilala at pagtanggap sa iba’t ibang anyo ng pagkatao
