CELEBRATING 17 YEARS OF IMPACT AT SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE BATAAN

Since 2009, SOS Children's Village Bataan has been a constant source of hope, stability, and opportunity for children, young people, and families facing challenging circumstances. For 17 years, we have remained committed to ensuring that every child grows up in a safe and nurturing environment where they feel valued, protected, and empowered to dream beyond their current realities.

Today, we continue to support more than 170 children, youth, and families by providing holistic care that addresses not only immediate needs, but also long-term growth and development. From access to quality education and healthcare to emotional guidance, mentorship, and family support, our approach focuses on strengthening both the child and the family because when they are empowered, children thrive.

At the village, one of our cornerstone programs is the YouthCan! Program, which plays a crucial role in preparing young people for independence by equipping them with essential life skills and providing employment opportunities, paving the way for their long-term success.

As we celebrate 17 years of impact, we honor the growth, resilience, and achievements of the children and families we serve. We also look ahead with renewed commitment to continue creating safe spaces, nurturing potential, and building brighter futures for generations to come.

SKILLS THAT OPEN DOORS: MAMA GRACE'S OPPORTUNITY FROM RETIREMENT

From November 23 to December 6, 2025, Mommy Grace was among the participants who completed the Hands to Independence: Nail Care Skills for Self-Reliance and Employment Training. Through hands-on sessions, she gained practical nail care skills that open pathways to sustainable livelihood and employment.

The training was made possible through a partnership with Omorfia Group, a reputable Dubai-based beauty and wellness company, and with the funding support from Otis, a leading company for elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and services.

At SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas, we empower caregivers with skills that transform hope into action, because when care providers are equipped, children grow up in safer, more nurturing homes.
