These types of abuse can severly impact a victim's ways of living and maintaining their well-being.

We can all take action of to help end VAW by being informed and vigilant. If you know someone experiencing abuse do not turn a blind eye and immediately reach out to the hotlines provided.

The local Gender Clubs from various colleges, along with students, actively participated in the kick-off of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) through a parade, an arc presentation, and an opening program held this morning, November 26, 2024.

Today's parade brought us together in strength and unity as we stood under the powerful theme: "๐š…๐™ฐ๐š† ๐™ฑ๐š’๐š๐šข๐šŠ๐š—๐š ๐š†๐šŠ๐š”๐šŠ๐šœ, ๐™ฝ๐š๐šŠ๐šข๐š˜๐š— ๐™ฝ๐šŠ ๐™ฐ๐š—๐š ๐™พ๐š›๐šŠ๐šœ". Now is the time to end violence against women and childrenโ€”let's make a change, together.

This November 25 to December 12, 2024, we will be having our advocacy of eradicating Violence Against Women. With the campaign theme โ€œ๐”๐๐ข๐“๐„๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐•๐€๐–-๐…๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌโ€ and its 2024 sub-theme โ€œ๐•๐€๐– ๐๐ข๐ ๐ฒ๐š๐ง๐  ๐–๐š๐ค๐š๐ฌ, ๐๐ ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ง ๐ง๐š ๐š๐ง๐  ๐Ž๐ซ๐š๐ฌ!โ€ . We are ready to empower women against any form of violence they are facing.

We will support the ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–๐ญ๐ก ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐œ๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐•๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐€๐ ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง in our university by participating in different seminars and activities prepared by WMSU GENDER ASSOCIATION INC.

Let us be the advocates of gender equality by starting to advocate for the end of VAW in the Philippines.
