Only 2 days left until the Baguio-Benguet Commuters' Forum! Here are the advocates, community members, and researchers we'll be hearing from on May 15.

We'll be hearing from Arnold Padilla of ILPS Philippines on what's really driving the oil crisis, Domar Cabute of the Baguio Commuters' Network on the community response and their call for solidarity, and Nanoy Rafael of PARA Commuters' Network on our broader national fight as commuters.

We'll have research presenters from the University of the Cordilleras and Benguet State University to give a clearer picture of what the drivers and commuters here in Baguio-Benguet have actually been going through under local transport modernization programs.

And we'll also be joined by the UC Saeng Ya Kasay Cultural Ensemble for a cultural performance!

Baguio commuters, how’s your commute?! Baguio is hard hit by the ongoing oil crisis, worsening long-standing public transport issues. Lines keep getting longer, the public transport supply continues to shrink, and commuters are left with fewer options for safe, efficient, and accessible public transport.

This year, commuters took the initiative to keep our fellow commuters and transport workers afloat during the crisis: from mutual aid, to community pantries, and even voluntary fare hikes. But how much longer can we keep up what should be temporary measures? How can we fight for the public transport as a public service that we deserve? Let’s talk about it!

Join us on May 15 at the University of the Cordilleras Theater for the Baguio-Benguet Commuters’ Forum! Expect informative situationers on the global oil crisis, stories from Baguio commuters on the local struggle and community efforts, and insights from commuter advocates on the broader national fight for affordable and accessible public transport.

Ngayong Mayo Uno, Araw ng mga Manggagawa, sama-samang nakikinig ang mga tsuper at manggagawa ng Brgy. Camp 7 habang tinatalakay ang kanilang mga pangunahing karapatan, at upang magkaroon pa sila ng mas malalim na pagkaunawa rito.

📣 HAPPENING NOW | Fully operational na ulit ang byahe ng mga jeepney drivers sa Camp 7 Jeepney Station!

Mahigit 40 drivers ang balik-pasada matapos maipatupad ang temporary/voluntary fare increase kasunod ng Public Consultation sa Camp 7 Barangay Hall noong April 9.

Patuloy rin ang pamamahagi ng in-kind donations para sa ating mga jeepney drivers.

Maraming salamat sa inyong walang sawang suporta—dahil sa inyo, halos tatlong linggo nating natulungan ang ating mga drayber sa gitna ng krisis.
