The UNICEF Development of Local-Level Data for Children in Baguio City Toward a Decision Support System for Child-Centered Local Governance

The Local-level data for children in Baguio City supports a decision system that strengthens child-centered governance. By tracking health, education, safety, participation, and socio-economic conditions, the city can design responsive policies, allocate resources wisely and empower communities through transparent information.

This initiative envisions a governance model where every child is counted, valued, and supported in their growth and well-being.

CARING FOR BAGUIO CITY TRANSPORT HEROES

Jeepney and taxi drivers availed free chest x-rays, PhilHealth Yakap Konsulta registration and a hearty lunch at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center, March 24, 2026.

Organized by the BCYA (Baguio Center for Young Adults) in partnership with the City Health Services Office, AIHO, DeepTek and PSA (Philippine Society of Anesthesiologists Baguio-Benguet Chapter, Inc.) spearheads Bantay Pasada Kalusugan Program. This event highlights the city’s commitment to preventive healthcare and community care for one of Baguio City’s backbone— the transport group.

BCYA together with AIHO and Baguio City Health Services spearheads Bantay Pasada Kalusugan Program for the Transport Group.

The program shall facilitate X-ray TB screenings specifically targeting the transport sector.

The recorded deaths due to respiratory illnesses continue to demonstrate the extent of the problem, rendering more Filipino homes fatherless.

While our women and members of the
members of the LGBTQUIA continue to receive empowerment and the support they need, the breadwinners, our fathers continue to face the formidable threat of TB that could potentially cause death.

The program will augment the curren programs which shall essentially bring the health services to the most vulnerable of sectors—right to their doorstep and potentially ending deaths caused by TB.
