The Puhon Advocacy Program believes that even the smallest efforts can create an effect of positive change. The real highlight of its initiative wasnโt just the lesson itselfโit was the pure joy on the childrenโs faces. Their smiles, curiosity, and energy reflected the impact of the program and reinforced its purpose.
On March 26, 2025, the programโs second deployment at Camp 7 Elementary School focused on proper hygiene, with a special emphasis on the importance of handwashing. More than just sharing knowledge, the team ensured that the experience was fun and engaging. Through interactive demonstrations and lively activities, the children didnโt just listen but actively understood and enjoyed learning.
To further reinforce the lesson, the advocates introduced a song they created about proper handwashing, making the learning process more enjoyable and memorable for the students. The catchy tune and simple lyrics helped the children remember each step of handwashing while having fun singing along. After the song, the advocates engaged the students in an interactive question-and-answer session, testing their understanding of hygiene practices. Those who answered correctly were rewarded with small prizes, encouraging participation and reinforcing key lessons in an exciting way.
As part of the advocacy, the advocates distributed hygiene kits to the students to help them apply what they learned in their daily lives. Each kit included alcohol, wet wipes, and paper soap, providing them with essential tools to maintain cleanliness wherever they go. The excitement in their eyes as they received the hygiene kits served as a reminder that small actions can make a big difference in shaping healthier habits for the future.
By making hygiene education accessible, engaging, and practical, the Puhon Advocacy Program aims to empower children to prioritize their health and well-being, ensuring that the lessons learned extend far beyond the classroom. ๐โจ
