We Remember How You Loved Us to Your Death 🕯

In commemoration of the first Sunday of Lent, the School of Law Liturgical Committee leads in the singing of remembering Jesus this period of penitence, last February 22, 2026, presided by Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, Ph.D., University President.

In his homily, Father Sales emphasized that during this season, we are invited to look inwards and go back to the desert of our hearts in order to see our wounds and darkness, not to shame us but to heal us. He also added that Lent leads us to choose and take a better part as we are called to be with the Lord, to let Him love us.

Let us Build the City of God, May our Tears be Turned into Dancing!

With grateful hearts, the SLU Law Liturgical Committee joyfully served during the Sunday Anticipated Mass at Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Parish last January 25, 2026, presided by SLU president Fr. Gilbert Sales.

In his homily, he reminded everyone that all of us may become modern-day fishers of men, as we heed the call of becoming faithful followers of Christ.

Claimed the Dot: Celebrating Louisian 2025 Bar Exam Passers Through a Thanksgiving Mass

The School of Law gathered in prayer and gratitude through a thanksgiving mass last January 12, 2026 at the Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Parish in celebration of the 2025 Bar Exam Passers with their dedicated and inspiring journey, with choir led by the SLU Law Liturgical Committee.

The celebration also marked the new quest of bringing light and justice by the new Louisian lawyers to the community as emphasized in the blessings and words prayed during the said ceremony.
