We wish to inform our Member-Consumer-Owners that on 30 January 2026, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), under ERC Case No. 2025-060 RC, granted interim relief to the petition of NPC/PSALM authorizing the collection of the following rates:

UC-ME Rates (Interim):
โ€ข UC-ME Basic Subsidy โ€“ โ‚ฑ0.2662 per kWh
โ€ข UC-ME-REDCI โ€“ โ‚ฑ0.0101 per kWh

The UC-ME is a government-required charge collected from all electricity consumers. It helps support the cost of providing electricity to remote or off-grid areas that are not connected to the main power grid. The UC-ME-REDCI is part of this charge and helps support renewable energy projects in these areas.

Please note that these are ๐๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ-๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ž๐ฌ. BENECO only collects these amounts and remits them as required by the ERC. These charges do not go to BENECO.

In addition, pursuant to ERC Resolution No. 12, Series of 2024, the following rate shall also be implemented:

Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) Rate: โ‚ฑ0.0028 per kWh

The REC rate allows recovery of the cost of purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), which are required to comply with the Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS).

'CONGRATULATIONS, GM GRADUATES!'

Today, we proudly celebrate the successful completion of the PHILRECAโ€“Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Postgraduate Certificate in Electric Cooperative General Management, marking a significant milestone in our shared commitment to leadership excellence in the electric cooperative sector.

What began with the inaugural session at Sequoia Hotel last January 12, 2026, followed by a series of intensive learning engagements via Zoom and at the AIM facility, has culminated in the graduation of the first distinguished batch of 31 General Managers from electric cooperatives across the Philippines.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed faculty of the Asian Institute of Management for their dedication, insight, and unwavering support throughout this journey.
