| 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗼!

Transcend, in collaboration with the Ifugao Provincial Health Office (PHO), recently conducted an MPOWER Training of Trainers (TOT) for 32 dedicated participants from local government units and partner organizations.

The training focused on the WHO Framework Convention on To***co Control (FCTC) and the MPOWER strategies, equipping local leaders and health officers with the tools and knowledge needed to train others, enforce local policies, and drive effective to***co control programs in their respective municipalities.

A big thank you to all our participants and partners for stepping up to lead the way toward a healthier, smoke-free Ifugao!

The Provincial Government of Ifugao, through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and together with TRANSCEND and local partners, has officially launched the Ifugao To***co-Free and Vape-Free Support Program Ordinance (Provincial Ordinance No. 2026-05)!

💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗱𝗼?
This new provincial law is made to protect everyone, especially children and youth, from the dangers of smoking and va**ng:
✅ Help to Quit: Sets up free quitting clinics and a official Quit-Line for people who want to stop smoking or va**ng.
✅ Cleaner Public Spaces: Keeps smoke and v**e out of public places, schools, offices, and provincial facilities across all 13 municipalities.
✅ Bans Advertisements: Stops to***co and v**e companies from advertising or sponsoring local events (like Gotad Ad Ifugao).
✅ Youth & Community Support: Trains local enforcers, educates students, and helps vendors transition to other businesses.

✅ For Local Leaders: We encourage all municipal and barangay officials to support and enforce these rules in your areas.
