SOLIDARITY MESSAGE

We, Cordilleran Youth, extend our deepest solidarity, sympathy, and fervent prayers to our fellow Filipinos in Cebu who were struck by the devastating Magnitude 6.9 earthquake with its epicenter in Bogo. In this hour of great trial, we share in the pain and grief of those who mourn, the struggles of those displaced, and the uncertainties faced by affected families and communities.

At this moment, let us place above all else the protection of human life, the prioritization of safety, and the swift conduct of rescue, relief, and recovery operations. We call upon our government, local leaders, humanitarian agencies, and all sectors of society to act with urgency and compassion in restoring essential services, rebuilding damaged infrastructure, and ensuring the welfare of the most vulnerable.

We likewise appeal to every Filipino to strengthen faith, remain vigilant, and cultivate resilience as aftershocks may continue to occur. May we not be overcome by fear, but rather be fortified by courage, prayer, and the assurance that we are one nation bound by shared hope and responsibility.

In this time of devastation, let us embody the true essence of Bayanihan—where unity overcomes adversity, where compassion heals wounds, and where solidarity builds strength. Beyond the ruins, may hope rise again, and may the resilience of our people guide the path toward healing and renewal.

Together, with hearts united, we affirm our commitment to walk with Cebu in its journey from sorrow to recovery, from loss to rebuilding, and from darkness to light.
