📚✨ Last Friday, June 12, during Independence Day, we, the Jorge Vargas–Bago City Eagle Scouts Association, were beyond grateful to distribute school supplies to 17 students from Grades 1 to 3 in Purok Dulunan, Hacienda Guba, Brgy. Don Jorge L. Araneta. Seeing the smiles and excitement of every child as they received their school materials truly warmed our hearts, proving that even the simplest support matters. ❤️

As we prepare for another school year, we hope these supplies will help ease some of the challenges they may face and encourage them to continue learning with confidence and determination. Every notebook, pencil, and school item represents an opportunity for growth, discovery, and a brighter future. ✏️📖

This activity is more than just giving school supplies—it is a way of showing our young learners that they are valued, supported, and encouraged to pursue their dreams. "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth" means to know, love, and follow God while you're still young—while your heart is full of dreams, curiosity, and strength. Don't put Him aside thinking you'll have time later.

"Before the days of trouble come" refers to the challenges that everyone eventually faces—heartbreak, loss, responsibilities, disappointments, and the struggles that come with growing older.

"And the years approach when you will say, 'I find no pleasure in them'" points to a season of life when the joy and energy of youth have faded, and life may feel heavier or more difficult.

Walk with God while the sun is still rising, before the shadows grow long. Seek Him while your heart is light and your steps are strong, so that when storms come and the seasons change, you will already know the One who has been beside you all along.✨

The message isn't to fear getting older. It's to treasure your youth and use it to build a relationship with God before life's burdens arrive. 🤍

🇵🇭⚜️ In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, the Jorge Vargas – Bago City Eagle Scout Association proudly participated in the commemation of this historic occasion, paying tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Filipino heroes who fought for our nation’s freedom. 🫡🇵🇭

Guided by the values of Scouting, the association reaffirmed its commitment to responsible citizenship, unity, and service to the community—principles that continue to strengthen our nation and inspire future generations. 🤝⚜️

Following the celebration, JV-BESA successfully conducted its 3rd Officers Meeting at Ramon Torres National High School (MBR8), where officers and members gathered to discuss key organizational matters and strategic plans for the association’s continued growth. 📋🏫

Among the agenda discussed were the reorganization of committees, the development of fundraising initiatives, the planning of upcoming projects, and the presentation of the liquidation report for Project “Panid sang Paglaum.” 📊📑 These discussions reflected the association’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and effective leadership. ⚜️💡

Preparations for the 1st JV-BESA Conclave on June 20, 2026, were also strengthened, ensuring that the event will serve as a meaningful gathering for fellowship, leadership development, and organizational advancement. 🤝🎯🦅

As we celebrate the freedom won by those who came before us, may we continue to honor their legacy by leading with integrity, serving with compassion, and inspiring positive change in our communities. 🇵🇭✨

On this 12th day of June 2026, we mark the 128th year of our nation’s freedom — 128 years of courage, abundance, and independence that define who we are as Filipinos.

Today, we honor not just a date on the calendar, but the spirit of 1898 that still lives in the heart of every Filipino. We commemorate the sacrifices of our heroes — those who raised our flag proudly, those who bled for our flag’s sun and stars, and those whose names history remembers and those it doesn’t. Because of them, we dream freely without chains. Because of them, we wake up with a country full of life and bliss.

Their fight gave us more than just independence. It gave us the abundance of identity, the freedom to speak, to write, to lead, and the responsibility to protect what they won. As the next generation, our duty is to keep the flame alive — through service, through truth, and through patriotism.

From Jorge Vargas- Bago Eagle Scouts Association, we want to take a moment to say a proper thank you to all our donors and supporters. 💛

When we formulated our Project Panid Sang Paglaum, we aimed to deliver something positive but were truly surprised with such enormous support. To us, donations are not merely items and money but they were more of a testimony to the still abundant and giving hearts willing to offer assistance, even to strangers. We truly believe that hope can be stronger if given and you gave it to us.

To the donors and supporters of our Project Panid Sang Paglaum, it was indeed very special and appreciated by all of us; no support was ever unheeded. You gave us more than items and money, but a concrete "window of hope" which will be beneficial to others. It is such an honor and privilege to be joined with you in this endeavor.

✨ PANID SANG PAGLAUM ✨

“A small act of giving opens pages of hope that lead to a brighter future.”

June 6, 2026, the Jorge Vargas-Bago Eagle Scouts Association (JVBESA) brought our project Panid sang Paglaum to the elementary students of C.A. Dormido Elementary School. We distributed essential school supplies—pencils, notebooks, sheets of paper, sharpeners, and ballpens—to the children. These simple items are more than just materials; they serve as a spark of hope, encouraging them to pursue their studies and dream big for what lies ahead.

Despite the pouring rains during this project, the passion for serving others did not falter at all. JVBESA continued its service by providing warm and heartfelt care for these young minds. Not only did we give them some supplies, but we also taught them some basic numeracy, literacy, and the Gospel of God to keep their mind and heart pure.

We express our sincerest gratitude to our sponsors for your generosity in providing support for this project.

The Jorge Vargas – Bago City Eagle Scout Association puts leadership into action through the power of choice.

Serving at the forefront are the officers, who are entrusted with leading the association and carrying out its initiatives. Their dedication was evident during the 2nd General Meeting held on May 28, 2026, at Ramon Torres National High School, where Eagle Scouts gathered to welcome newly inducted members and discuss significant matters concerning the organization.

⚜️ Among the key agenda were the re-election of officers, the formation of committees, and the drafting of the Constitution and By-Laws that will guide the association’s future growth and development.

New officers stepped up. Others were reaffirmed. All bound by the same duty: to lead with discipline, serve with integrity, and keep the association faithful to Scouting values.

🔥 Because in Scouting, leadership isn’t given—it’s earned. And through these elections, the Jorge Vargas – Bago City Eagle Scout Association ensures that only those ready to transform vision into action will carry the torch forward.

📚✨ “Packs of care, hope we share, make young minds shine everywhere!” ✨📚

⏳ Only 2 more days to go scouts!!!

On June 3, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, we repacked school supplies at OLPA-BI in preparation for our upcoming outreach activity under the project “Panid sang Paglaum.” These learning materials will be distributed to the elementary students of C.A. Dormido Elementary School, in line with our commitment to service and community support.

Every package we prepared stands for hope, care, and encouragement for young learners. Through this initiative, we aim to provide them not only with essential school supplies but also with inspiration and steadfast support as they continue their educational journey.

🎁 Donations for Project “Panid sang Paglaum” remain open until June 6, 2025, and we continue to accept school supplies, financial assistance, or any form of support to help us prepare more care packages filled with learning essentials for the students.
