𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞.

Our Community Immersion at Senoro Green Farm, the first Slow Food Farm in Southeast Asia, was more than just a farm tour—it was a journey of learning, connection, and purpose.

We listened to the inspiring story behind the farm and how a vision rooted in caring for the land grew into a thriving community. We experienced a hands-on introduction to Bokashi, discovering how food scraps can be transformed into valuable resources through sustainable practices.

Most importantly, we realized that a strong community is at the heart of every meaningful movement. From the farm's rich history to conversations with the dedicated women farmers and advocates, our newest members witnessed that the Slow Food movement is not only about producing good food it is about building relationships, preserving culture, protecting biodiversity, and empowering people to care for one another and the environment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Senoro Green Farm for warmly opening its doors and sharing its inspiring story, sustainable practices, and vision for a better food future. Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Bago City Tourism Affairs and the City Government of Bago headed by Hon. Marina “Mayette” Javellana-Yao for their invaluable support in making this Community Immersion possible.

As we continue our onboarding journey, we carry with us a simple yet powerful reminder: real change begins when communities grow together.

There is something beautiful about slowing down.

As the first Slow Food Farm in Southeast Asia, Senoro Green Farm stands as a living example of sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and the Slow Food philosophy of Good, Clean, and Fair.

It was a meaningful journey of learning, sharing, and slowing down. We were deeply inspired by the warm hospitality of the Senoro Family and the women farmers, whose passion and dedication continue to nurture both the land and the community.

Sometimes, the greatest privilege is simply to slow down, appreciate the hands that feed us, and remember that a better food system begins with local action.

The 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝟯 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝗭𝗘𝗥𝗢 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗣𝗛 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 has officially come to a close, and our hearts are full.

To every delegate, speaker, partner, exhibitor, volunteer, and organizer—thank you for making this leg a meaningful celebration of youth leadership, collaboration, and social action.

Bago City, Negros Occidental | June 29, 2026 — Demonstrating its continued commitment to youth empowerment and community leadership, Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN) Bago FRESH proudly joined 𝟑𝐙𝐄𝐑𝐎 𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 𝐏𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬𝟑: 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, a whole-day youth convention organized by the 3ZERO Club Philippine Network with the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF).

The convention brought together nearly 600 of youth leaders, student organizations, community advocates, and young changemakers from across the Negros Island Region and beyond for a day of learning, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue centered on leadership, sustainability, social innovation, and community development.

Adding to the organization's contribution, Kemberly Sumaylo, officer of Slow Food Youth Network Bago FRESH, served as one of the moderators during the plenary session, facilitating engaging discussions among speakers and participants while encouraging meaningful conversations that inspired youth to take action in their respective communities.

The partnership reflects the shared vision of SFYN Bago FRESH, 3ZERO Club Philippine Network, and NWTF in cultivating empowered young leaders who are committed to building communities anchored on sustainability, inclusion, and social responsibility.

Through collaborations such as YouthLeads3, Slow Food Youth Network Bago FRESH continues to expand its mission beyond food advocacy—connecting youth with opportunities to lead, collaborate, and create lasting impact for Bago City, Negros Occidental, and beyond.

🌟 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝟯!

𝗞𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼 is an upcoming second-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management student at La Consolacion College Bacolod with a strong passion for hospitality, tourism, and leadership. She is actively involved in student organizations and community initiatives, gaining valuable experience in event coordination, marketing, and public relations. Known for being approachable, adaptable, and committed, she consistently represents her institution with professionalism, confidence, and excellence.

𝗞𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 currently serves as the Director of Marketing, External Affairs, and Linkages of the Slow Food Youth Network – Bago Fresh while also being an active member of the organization. She is the Chief Operating Officer of the La Consolacion College Bacolod School Ambassador program and a Club Officer of the Traveler's Society School Club, where she continues to strengthen her leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Through her academic journey and active involvement in youth organizations, Kemberly remains committed to promoting leadership, collaboration, and meaningful engagement within her community while preparing for a career in the tourism and hospitality industry.
