🌱 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮 | 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 🌾

Day 2 of the Negrosanon Young Farmers Summit 2026 focused on a deeper understanding of the challenges facing agriculture and the ways young people can contribute to addressing them.

The day began with AgriSMART: Agricultural Systems Mapping and Assessment for Regenerative Transformation, where delegates explored agricultural landscape assessment, climate action and disaster-resilient agriculture, ecological inventory, and regenerative agriculture planning. These sessions emphasized that addressing agricultural problems requires us to understand not only what happens on the farm, but also the environment, climate, resources, and communities connected to it.

The delegates then brought their learning into the fields, applying knowledge to real agricultural contexts. This was followed by PDIME: Project Development, Implementation, Management, and Evaluation, equipping young farmers with practical approaches to develop and manage initiatives that respond to the needs of their communities.

For Kasanag Kabataan Organization, Day 2 served as a reminder that understanding agricultural challenges is only the beginning. The greater responsibility lies in turning knowledge into action, solutions, and meaningful community-driven initiatives.

From identifying the problems to designing solutions, the youth have a role to play in shaping a more resilient and sustainable agricultural future. 🌱

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 | 𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚 𝗔𝗧 𝗡𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🌾💚

The first day of the Negrosanon Young Farmers Summit 2026 by Pamatan-on nga Mangunguma sng Negros Alliance marked the beginning of a meaningful learning experience 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼 by centered on agriculture, its importance, and its role in shaping sustainable and resilient communities.

Held at Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary, Murcia, Negros Occidental, Day 1 provided the delegates with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of what agriculture truly represents. Beyond farming and food production, agriculture is deeply connected to our communities, livelihoods, environment, food security, and the future of our province.

As the summit continues, we look forward to gaining more knowledge, building meaningful connections, and understanding how young people can take part in shaping the future of agriculture and food sustainability in Negros. 🌱

Kasanag Kabataan Organization, represented by its Kasanag Executives and Volunteers, joined the prestigious Global Youth Summit Bacolod 2026 earlier today, August 17, 2026, bringing together young leaders and advocates committed to creating meaningful change in their communities.

The summit, organized by SM Cares in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation Philippines and the Province of Negros Occidental, served as a platform for young people to engage in meaningful conversations on mental health, sustainability, youth empowerment, environmental advocacy, and social responsibility, while recognizing their vital role as catalysts for change.

“GYS reminded us that being young is not a limitation to making an impact. We may still be learning, but we already have the capacity to speak, organize, and take action for the issues that matter to our communities,” said Zyjohn Maglantay, Vice President for Internal Affairs of Kasanag Kabataan.

For Kasanag Kabataan, participation in GYS 2026 is more than simply attending a youth summit. It is an opportunity to bring new knowledge, perspectives, and connections back to the communities the organization serves—strengthening its commitment to youth empowerment, education, mental health, sustainability, and community development.

As the summit came to an end, Kasanag Kabataan carries with it a renewed reminder: the youth are not merely the leaders of tomorrow—we are already part of the change happening today. 🌏💙
