🌿 Sometimes, moving forward begins with being still.
In a world that constantly asks young people to keep up, achieve more, and think about what comes next, learning to pause can be just as important as learning to act.
Through this learning session, the scholars were invited to explore the practice of meditation, the simple yet meaningful act of becoming still, listening to the present moment, and creating space to understand what is happening within.
Being still does not mean doing nothing. It can mean choosing to slow down enough to listen: to one’s thoughts, emotions, surroundings, and needs. In that quiet space, scholars may find clarity, regain their focus, and become more intentional in how they move forward.
The challenge now is to carry the practice beyond the session. 🌱
To pause when everything feels overwhelming.
To breathe before reacting.
To listen before rushing to respond.
To give the mind a moment of stillness, even in the busiest days.
The scholars extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Jane Jaso for generously sharing her knowledge, experiences, and insights, and for guiding the scholars toward the value of stillness and mindful listening. 🤍
May the scholars continue to remember: not every moment requires movement. Sometimes, growth happens in the quiet.
