VINCERE CAMP 2025 | COLLABORATION THROUGH THE CLIMB
Day 3 – June 7, 2025 was all about Collaboration, and what better way to live it out than through a challenging yet rewarding hike to Mt. Kalisungan. Campers woke up at 5:30 AM, ready to face the day’s adventure. Known as one of the historic mountains in Laguna, Mt. Kalisungan is said to be the final stand of Filipino and American soldiers during World War II. As they climbed through slippery, muddy trails and poured effort into each step under the rain, the campers demonstrated true teamwork—encouraging one another, carrying shared burdens, and even picking up trash along the trail as a form of care for creation.
Despite the downpour, they reached the peak together, celebrating not just a physical triumph, but a powerful moment of unity. After returning and freshening up, the campers took a short break to prepare for Vincere Night 2025, but not before gathering at the open chapel of Villa Maria for a moving reflection and processing session—sharing insights, stories, and realizations from the morning’s climb.
Vincere Night, the camp’s concluding activity, was a joyful celebration of everything they had gone through. Joined by some of the Salesians of Don Bosco TVET Center Calauan, the night was filled with bonding, laughter, and community over simple "tusok-tusok" snacks and heartfelt moments. Campers and facilitators also engaged in a final reflection and affirmation activity, honoring the people they journeyed with during the entire camp.
The day—and the camp—came to a close with Good Night Prayers, offering gratitude for new friendships, growth, and the shared mission they now carry together.
